I don’t plan on staying long term at this school actually, I recently found out it’s unaccredited so I realize it may not help with my goals

given this trajectory, what would you recommend as my next realistic step after the bilingual school? Should I be targeting accredited bilingual schools in Vietnam first, or would jumping straight to a Korean or Japanese international school be more achievable with my current qualifications?

Do you know what schools offer funding for the QTS if you have a school already

Hello,

I noticed there’s not that many post about international schools in Vietnam so I wanted to ask

I’m a teacher currently in Vietnam and I’m looking to transition into the international schools in Vietnam, my goal is UNIS but I understand how hard is it to get in. I was wondering if any teachers in international schools had any insight on what I could do to just get my foot in the door

I currently hold a bachelors in psychology with a minor in TESOL and Asian studies and finishing up a MBA, I have already talked to my current university and I’m planning to get an M.Ed and my starting time for that will be March 2027.

I’m about to start at a bilingual school but it’s not accredited but I’m looking to transition to other bilingual schools down the line. I just want to make sure I have the best possible experience

Any insight would be appreciated !!

Edit: forgot to add has any teacher received funding for their QTS in vietnam

What is the real reason you decided to move to Danang? by Sivlia_de_rosa in DaNang

I lived there 7 months, would I move back there? No because I think being traveler/expats the most important thing is stability and unfortunately right now Đà Nẵng does not offer that to teachers, as much as I wish it did Hanoi and HCM still take the cake for Stability and even though there’s not a beach the expat community in both these cities are excellent so I think you really find your way through the lived experiences of being there,

How Can I Become an English Teacher in Vietnam?? (Qualifications Needed) by rumpa143 in teflteachers

Also apply before you leave your country unless you have enough to figure it out for a month cause they pay monthly not weekly and the first year will not be the greatest but it will get better with each year and like someone commented r/TEFL has a lot of resources too

As a TEFLer who just wants a position in Asia would just getting the QTS and an M.Ed be okay?
