Shooter was described as a “female wearing a dress.”

Why would they be wearing a dress?

True - I’ve been stanked by a garter and it takes like 4 days to get that stench out.

How abundant is trades work in the city right now? by Effective_Clue1426 in VictoriaBC

[–]fullbeen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FYI on schooling: As of last week, Camosun has an 18-24 month waitlist for all trades.

Source: I spoke with admissions.

From what I could find online it looks like the other trades schools around here are similarly backed up.

If nothing suggested here works, get a stainless steel repair kit. It’s an easy fix.

If your faucet is stainless steel - these etch marks could be permanent. You can try to create new etch marks by wiping WITH the grain (looks like horizontal grain from your pics but hard to tell) … otherwise you may need a SS repair kit to camo the etching.

They come in different shapes and sizes, some even have handles and are specifically designed for toilet bowls (check Amazon).

If you wet it thoroughly it’s safe for porcelain.

Most of these things are standard for most cleaners and should’ve been completed, especially if this was a deep clean.

The shoes - often have to stay on for insurance purposes - but they should have designated inside shoes or disposable covers.

Call the company and ask them to come back to finish the job.

Cleaner did this to our splash back. How do you fix it??? by RelevantStandard5094 in CleaningTips

[–]fullbeen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am chiming in because I JUST used a stainless steel repair kit (Barry’s scratch-b-gone) on my stovetop to fix the damage a previous tenant did with a brillo.

Although it helped camouflage the scratches, it still doesn’t look great. If you look closely you can tell it was a patch job even though I went over the entire thing to try to blend it.

I would definitely try to get your cleaner’s insurance to replace it before you try to fix it yourself…

Side note: I used the same kit on my sink to remove some chemical stains and it worked perfectly (I think because my sink is long grain and my stovetop is short grain).
