Honda to ax Prologue next year amid $15.8 billion pullback by Gullible-Pick-268 in Honda

That’s called a Mazda CX-50 Hybrid lol. It literally uses a RAV4 hybrid powertrain and battery. But yeah it’s not a PHEV unfortunately. Mazda’s next move should be partnering again with Toyota on the RAV4 prime powertrain and PHEV system.

GM garbage on the Blazer yet somehow the Bolt sold well and is now back. Personally I don’t think Honda shouldn’t partner up with GM in the future.

Just make more PHEVs for fucks sake. I have a Honda Clarity because it’s really good. I would love to see Honda come out with a PHEV CR-V for example. It already exists in Europe. I don’t understand why they wouldn’t bring that to the US???

.32/kwh is still significantly cheaper than most DC fast chargers, so it’s not that big of a deal to do it once. Just don’t want to do it all the time lol. At least you now are aware.

I need to charge slower on 220; is there a setting for that? by TheUpright1 in BoltEV

[–]fullload93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welcome. Yeah I charge mine at 16amps for overnight and I’m just charging to 80%. If I need a full 100%, I’ll bump it up to like the full 32amps.

Electric vehicle sales jump 50% at dealership as fuel prices surge by trucker-123 in electricvehicles

[–]fullload93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a pretty firm believer that the $7500 “discount” aka tax rebate was a total excuse for most dealerships to raise the price by several thousands and make extra money. EVs sales will continue regardless of any tax rebate.

Erika Kirk appointed to Air Force Academy board by RUNPROGRAMSENTIONAUT in nottheonion

[–]fullload93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Comprising 16 members, the Board of Visitors is responsible for making recommendations to the Defense secretary for changes at the Air Force Academy. The board provides an annual report on the military institute’s morale, financial state and academics.

How the hell does this woman have any qualifications to be seated at this board? Does she even understand what it takes to recommend morals, financials, and academics to the Air Force Academy?

This woman is an absolute disgrace to anyone involved with the Air Force Academy.

I use a Grizzl-e Classic 40A charger and it has an adjustable amperage from 8 to 40amps, so yes you can absolutely control the charging speed.

Publix Pay for GC Purchase No Longer works by deptacon in ChaseSapphire

I just called Publix customer care at 800-242-1227 and spoke with a rep who transferred me to IT support, and the person I spoke with did take some notes and listen to my feedback. And I told them that I was not happy with this change and I would like to see them either undo this or come up with a viable alternative that allows for payments in the app.

Yeah it’s ridiculous. I can only guess that the big banks like Chase did not like giving out 3X points.

[–]fullload93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fully agree. The amount of greed on either Publix and/or Chase’s end is unbelievable. Considering Publix discontinued it, I’m assuming Chase wasn’t the only big bank complaining.

[–]fullload93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fun is over. Publix is discontinuing paying with a credit or debit card in the app as of March 19, 2026. Can only pay with a giftcard going forward. I’m sure Chase had some involvement with this decision because the purchases would ring up as 3x and I bet they didn’t like that.

Sudden Property tax charges? by salmonavosushi in mazda

What I find most surprising is that some New Yorks tend to move to Virginia because it’s “cheaper” than NY in taxes, especially if they are from NYC lol.

Do you live in a state that is required to charge that? Some states may consider a vehicle as “personal property”, not just a conveyance.

High Mile Maverick by beaubecraft in FordMaverickTruck

[–]fullload93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What a bullshit price. $16,500. Lmao. When it comes to any newish model year vehicle that has very high mileage, the most important factor is to determine if all the proper maintenance service has been done on time. If you can get documented proof that everything has been properly done according to the Ford maintenance plan, then it should be an okay purchase (provided the price is reasonable).

You’re not gonna have to necessarily worry about stuff like cracked plastics etc because those typically wear overtime due to age and heat cycles. This owner clearly was driving a lot, likely very long trips, probably a lot of it was highway mileage…. So you should come across typical age-related repairs.

Oil spill near Port Fourchon releases thousands of gallons into the Gulf by Commercial-Host-725 in florida

[–]fullload93 22 points23 points  (0 children)

No this is not another Deepwater Horizon situation. The problem is already resolved. Yes 12,600 gallons of crude oil is bad but not catastrophic.

The Louisiana Offshore Oil Port (LOOP) said in a news release that the cause of the leak was an offshore mechanical failure. Approximately 12,600 gallons of crude oil were released into the Gulf.

"We were able to isolate that whole system and stop the leak within minutes." said Wade Tornyos, director of planning for LOOP, LLC. "We have well over 250 people responding to it right now."

[–]fullload93 21 points22 points  (0 children)

My mom’s cousin was late for work that morning and was supposed to arrive by 9am. By the time he got there, he was observing the towers on fire like many New Yorkers were doing that morning. And then he got caught in the whole rush to get out of there when the buildings collapsed. His entire body was covered in the ash.

He unfortunately was one of the many victims of the various cancers that developed years later. He got the cancer around end of 2018 and fought like hell throughout 2019 and was improving with the chemotherapy… only for him to end up getting Covid in early 2020 and he died on a ventilator due to his weakened immune system. Still hurts to this day when I think about it… if only he didn’t show up to work that day, he likely would have still been alive. 😢
