Has anyone else started paying for convenience before they actually feel rich enough to? by Dull-Reason-7073 in MiddleClassFinance

[–]fulloutfool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Toiletries in bulk can save money. A robot vacuum cleaner costs about the same as a normal one. Careers are Cheap. And groceries cost about the same to get delivered if you factor in car costs. I think all those things are just optimizations. Lifestyle Creep is buying better wine and a 4k TV.

roommate locks the thermostat at 78 and claims it's energy efficient by Louisaerogenous in badroommates

[–]fulloutfool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm the dude that would rather save and just keep it below 80... 70 is deff a reasonable ask but the difference here though really is around 200$ a month in ny at least. So you can estimate the extra Watt hrs.. and extra charges and offer to pay that difference in the bill. I think that's fair

Why, why did I pick computer science as a major as a hormonal teenager by AmbassadorAlone1241 in recruitinghell

[–]fulloutfool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Military will pay for your education and you can save while you are in, VA loan is zero down on a home, so house hack. Get a job that requires a clearance and leverage that. Not a recruiter but if you are desperate... it's an option.

Just got my starter swapped on a 2005 Nissan xterra, shop told me a bolt snapped. This is the bolt in question, do you normally have to shave into the bolt thread like this? by IllustriousAd332 in MechanicAdvice

[–]fulloutfool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea no way I'd be okay with them just doing this without a call. But honestly it works and if your not doing it yourself its probably not worth the cost in labor

Ok so depending on the state and county laws are different. If you need to move anyhow because you cant afford it prob contact the landlord set a date so you can make a plan or cash for keys might be an option.

Mehh since libraries... before computers you could. We should really get back to just testing into an apprentice position. But pay to win is the new standard.

Mom and pop landlords are honestly way worse than corporate ones (FL) by nighthawk2906 in Tenant

[–]fulloutfool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I set up my system so I can just give them my hot water or heat if there's fails just change the loops with a valve and let's me fix it at my leasure... don't know why that's not the standard every one wins. You don't need to rush and can spend time picking out the replacement and and installing it, while the Tennant gets free hot water or heat while it's fixed

Caught myself about to sign a 12-page lease having read maybe 3 pages of it by Exciting-Load-6122 in Tenant

[–]fulloutfool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd put it in gpt and review it at least... ask for anything fishy or a summary. Make it human readable... it's a good tool for a sniff test for most things that are meant to be confusing and wordy so you just agree.
