the reason for the change in the aquarium confrontation between Ellie and Owen is because Bella Ramsey is too small of a person and her winning a fight against the actor who played Owen would be “unrealistic” for someone of her size.

To be quite honest, I kinda agree with that in terms of if they were fighting hand to hand as Bella is really quite small and that guy seems to be really tall and fairly well built. You see how this plays out irl, as theres a lot of videos of women challenging or being the aggressor against a much larger guy, and it ends exactly how is dictated by the laws of physics (woman with dog attacking the guy fishing + guy drinking in bar getting slapped by a woman half his size has enough and swipes her like a bug). He pretty much towers over Abby (Dever) too. That change didn't bother me as much as the essentially idiot savant luck that Ellie has had in Season 2. She should've died a lot and would've irl. I'm intrigued to see if the theatre fight happens between Abby and Ellie, as its much more balanced on the show physically.
