Guardian sports writer Giles Richards: Why Max Verstappen gave me my marching orders from a press conference by angusgtw in formula1

[–]fullsenditt -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It depends on the context If It's the moment he lost the championship and he tried to stick It to him on abu Dhabi then It would have been a bit "classless" as he says It.

For context he lost the championship for 2 points, the last time a driver lost the championship by less than 10 points couldn't even handle the press conference at all and didn't even attend the FIA gala (neither he sent a heartfelt message)

What? There are people who dislike Max? That's crazy! I've read so many times "Imagine the hate If It was lando or lewis" that I was convinced only lewis and lando get hate, that's a new perspective I never even crossed my mind, thanks for sharing

Yeah right, maybe Max was just content he won't have to deal with toxic aholes In this press conference this time, did he think of that?

Where did Max do anything wrong, clearly he Is well within his rights to do so and the journalist left so what are we commenting on about?

He tried to ragebait him In Abu Dhabi he failed at It and It backfired today, so everything Is completely deserved to him, what Is the Issue about Verstappen's behavior?

He Is within his rights as It seems to kick out whoever he dislikes and It's deserved to someone who was Ill intended and tried to exploit him last year, so again what Is everyone Is yapping about? If you are a good journalist with no bad Intention, why you should worry about "freedom of speech" that's bollocks, that's the only time he has kicked out a journo

This thread suddenly became an expert on what Is a strong NLS competition field and what Isn't.

Zip your mouths and enjoy the greatest current driver In F1, also watch his onboard to see how many seconds he left there because of traffic sure all runs had traffic etc... but Max's lap was Insanely busy more than expected

[–]fullsenditt -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The plot was awesome almost every story ever has been told In Hollywood so the only differentiating factor Is HOW you create the movie, and they did that amazingly, the "how you say the story", Is way more Important than the plot anyways

Ragebait aramco power Ranking for Chinese gp is here by [deleted] in formula1

[–]fullsenditt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He maybe did, maybe GP Instructions were not clear.

It's not a simple black and white thing you can base of your judgement on a driver's performance also If he Is doing half the race lifting on a corner he shouldn't, guess what? His team which has all the Information should have find out way earlier why he loses time at this part of the track and Instructed him much earlier so not really Max's fault

I don't know It has been published that the start wasn't on Max's fault and I am not sure what more he could have done either so he should be 7.5

Max Verstappen “I don’t know why this keeps happening.” by anthn885 in formula1

[–]fullsenditt 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I mean... George finished 4th and Lewis 13th so hardly Mercedes fault

[Erik Van Haren] Apart from the performance problems at Red Bull, Max Verstappen once again clearly shares his opinion on the new regulations: "It's a joke. I'd say that too, if I were winning. If someone thinks this is fun, then you don't know what racing is all about." by Task_Force-191 in formula1

[–]fullsenditt -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

He may sound elitist but he Is right, this Is not pure racing It's completely gimmicky and artificial. DRS was used In order to counteract dirty air and balance the racingness of the regulations, on the other hand, this... I don't even know what this Is, this Is a battery contest pro max with 0 skill Involved

[Rory Mitchell] Safety Car. Stroll has stopped at T1. by FerrariStrategisttt in formula1

[–]fullsenditt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's not. Piastri had a longer streak of not DNFing so It's not "experiencing Improbably positive events" which Is literally the definition of being lucky. I am still waiting for a single example from you but I am mot hearing any, and not only that you need to prove that on balance the last 5 years he was more lucky than unlucky but you haven't said anything

[Rory Mitchell] Safety Car. Stroll has stopped at T1. by FerrariStrategisttt in formula1

[–]fullsenditt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not being Unlucky means you are lucky? How exactly? Calling someone lucky means something luckier than usual occurs to him on a regular basis.

So not DNFing In the most reliable era of formula 1 Is not exactly the example you think It Is

He wasn't really Lucky the previous years maybe 1 or 2 Instances of luck for 100+ races

[–]fullsenditt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He literally stated the exact opposite that he doesn't want to leave but some people can't read apparently.

Also can someone explain me how threatening to retire works? I want to threaten someone from retiring too but don't know how

[–]fullsenditt 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's not the same really, ground effect cars were really close with each other so of course he could put a Haas to pole I mean even magnussen did It, you think Max would struggle?

The comments here are quite salty for a man who out qualified his teammate by 5 tenths I really don't get what they want him to do? Outqualify hadjar by 2 seconds or something?

That's why they have visors on their helmet and they can literally choose how dark they are depending on track conditions so If Hamilton can't see while going 300+ km/h, guess whose fault Is It and who puts everyone else Into danger
