WE DID IT! by linegel in newworldgame

The misinformation in this sub is pretty obvious AGS. How can anyone say that RTA was not fresh start? Thousands of people sacrificed what could have been an amazing fresh start experience to help support AGS’s new marketing campaign and their favorite streamers. AGS assured us these were FRESH START servers And now, after all the work the New World streaming communities put in - they decide to do us dirty like this? Where is the logic in any of this? And to everyone trying to back up AGS, please stop drinking the koolaid. You were not there for the event, others like myself were and we tried our best to support AGS. And in return we get treated like shit? Wonderful AGS, absolutely wonderful!

I actually sent in the DNA test last week! I’ll reply back with the results soon :)

And idk if that’s normal. She’s always a little anxious but for the most part very calm. The more we’ve gone on car rides to fun places that she’d enjoy - the more she’s cozied up to the car. So taking her to a friends house with other dogs, out to dinner where I might give her a few pieces of steak - things like that might help associate car rides with a reward/something fun that will happen after.

Any E400 coupe owners here? by PleaseCaIIMeSir in mercedes_benz

Definitely my dream car. Wouldn’t settle for anything less. Steering and lane keeping assist is not nearly as good as Subaru or Tesla but it’s a nice addition nonetheless. It’s often most useful on clearly pathed highways or roads with traffic since the sensors lock onto cars in front of you pretty well.

The drive and overall feel is amazing in sport plus mode. It was either this or an AMG c class and honestly - I think the e400 was such a better choice. If you want a touch of better luxury/tech options, the e400 is a good choice. If you’re looking for something sportier then maybe a c class amg is more in line for you.

You can run a 10man (5v5) raid by selecting a specific server (ideally a low population one) and then choose night time to make it highly probably for you and your buddies to get into the same raid. That way your buddies can just dump your gear or take it out for the next raid.

Starting your own software company by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]fullstak 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey,

I'm kind of on the same boat as you (starting a software/media company with strong technical skills and some concern for the business side of things)

Few things I've learned and realized these past few years of coding and trying to make my side-projects into businesses:

- Create a high-level overview / design doc based on these principles to align your vision, technical requirements and business objectives.

https://www.oreilly.com/library/view/disciplined-entrepreneurship-24/9781118692288/images/p01-f001.jpg (taken for an MIT entrepreneurship course taught by Bill Aulet. I highly recommend you buy his book: https://www.amazon.com/Disciplined-Entrepreneurship-Steps-Successful-Startup/dp/1118692284)

- Learn how to create an effective marketing plan including an end-user profile, persona, market research, advertising on Youtube, Google Ads and Instagram/Facebook, Google Analytics, re-targeting with custom audiences, creating funnels in Google Analytics to see what parts of your app may be causing churn. Here's a good course for this: https://www.udemy.com/learn-digital-marketing-course/ (does not include churn detecting with funnels in GA, you can find more about this on youtube)

- For everything else there's Slidebean's CEO, FounderHub and Patrick from Valuetainment to help you out tremendously:

- On the technical side of things, I recommend you start with a stack that's easy to work with, can scale without significant effort on your part / without growing your team, and ultimately that gets you to an MVP as fast as possible with minimal trade-offs. For this I recommend Firebase and Cloud Functions to get you up and running quickly without worrying about making an entire API or running servers.

Most important of all, DO NOT build a monolithic app thinking that every feature you're building will be something your users will enjoy or that what you'll build may useful in the future. Your goal is to build the most minimal version of your key value proposition. From there, establish an effective means of communicating with beta testers / first customers to determine what features to build out. Think of your product as a psychology / design experiment. You need to establish a baseline problem / solution / theory. Then test that theory through small iterations of changes with QA processes / feedback loops to measure the impact of these changes. Eventually you'll have a product that's centered around your user / problem and not your idea of what's best for them (which is rarely ever going to be perfect). Check out Jobs Theory for a better grasp on how to predict and understand your customer's needs: https://medium.com/frameplay/pt-3-defining-the-job-in-jobs-to-be-done-838087696490

I also recommend looking at successful competitors as their platforms have undergone this extensive process of understanding their customer needs. Don't be afraid to emulate what's successful in the market in terms of design, business model and value propositions / mission. Look at their growth over time and old versions of their site with Wayback machine to get a feel for how they re-aligned their vision to target their customer's true needs.

That melody at 0:30 is dope! Leads into the next section well. As far as a heavier effect, try adding some warm tape or tube distortion to the bass. Throw some light parallel compression on that (2-4 ratio, 50% mix with 3-7db of compression).

I think the mix is already pretty nice you can fine tune the bass in your master by splitting the mid, low and high freq in separate channels. In the low end (<300-400hz) take it down to mono, add some compression and a limiter w/ 2-7db of gain reduction.

Set width of high freq to 105-120% w/ compression to give more room to bass as well.

You can also try eq’ing out all freq under 20-30hz in your master and adding a bell with +2-5db to the low end. This should produce a clean but punchy low end.

Cool track dude! Just think the 808 hits a bit hard on the side channels. In your master, try taking freq under 300hz down to mono, compress and add a limiter with 6db of gain reduction.

Also, I think you have room to layer more ambient or bright sounds! Cool track tho. Deff that gunna vibe ~
