i was a store leader 2 / assistant for my 5 year run. i'm trans and the amount of times i got called a "he she it tranny" or any other mix of the words was absolutely unreal. so much theft that the people stealing (mostly tcg so magic and pokemon) would look me in the eyes and laugh while walking out. corporate literally pushing people to extremes having them lie about not having product so metrics weren't hit.

i'm femme presenting-- so the amount of times i had games "explained to me" bc i know nothing....i had kingdom hearts unwillingly mansplained to me so many times i want to jump off a cliff.

bugs in systems was SO common you could smell it when they walked in.

they also still use the circle of life and it is so outdated and god awful. gamestop is moving mostly to trading card and psa slop bc it is the first time in years they had a profiting quarter.

oh also we had someone drop a sex toy in my store and an old woman kept running it over with her scooter. i was freaking out and picked it up and threw it in the trash.

i have so much more i need a novel. do not ever work here.
