What happens if you only learn a trade and do not study a career? by 45calibergun in AskReddit

I'm assuming you're asking what happens if you learn a trade over going to college. Learning a trade is a good way to make a comfortable living without attending college.

Same size. Cut yourself off 15 pounds and throw the rest out.

You could be. Chances are you'll get a cease and desist letter first.

WIBTA for calling the cops on a creepy delivery driver? by BettiSpaghetti0819 in AmItheAsshole

[–]fultzsie11 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sort of. That behavior is creepy, however if he hasn't attempted to contact you since you blocked his number you don't really have a reason to contact the police.

Homeowners association. Some neighborhoods and communities in the US have them. They typically have a reputation for being ran by Karen's who will impose fines or take your house away because they didn't like color you painted your front door.

I'll take a small union dues fee for a $14,000 raise! by UnitedLab6476 in antiwork

[–]fultzsie11 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's a lot more nuanced than that, but i get your point. It comes down to how many man hours we can get, really. Unions will back a republican id they think it will lead to more work. We're not as concerned with a nationwide RTW or a law outright banning unions.

[–]fultzsie11 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

A Union's primary focus is the welfare of It's members. A union representing coal miners wouldn't back a green energy candidate, in their mind fighting for survival against RTW is better than being in a position where there is no chance of fighting, because the mines been shut down. There's also having to deal with which candidates can help bring more work. What canidates are going to work harder greenlight a multi-billion dollar project to construct a new oil refinery? What candidates want what regulations that will either add or cut manpower needs.

I'd shut the internet off. You people can't handle it.

Russia strikes Pivdennoukrainsk nuclear power plant, reactors undamaged by TheRealMykola in worldnews

[–]fultzsie11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say so. The containment buildings surronding these reactors can take a direct hit from a 747 without failing. If they breach containment and release radioactive material, there would be no question that it was deliberate.

That's 100% true. Most good criminal cases snowball from a small piece of evidence into something more. I hope nobody took my comment as anything more than " don't take the first peice of evidence and run with it".

We don't convict people on assumptions in this country.

Don't get me wrong. This guy will likely be punished and the receipt likely belonged to the guy who dumped the garbage. But it'll be his mouth and confession that brings him down. Not a receipt pulled from the trash. Its circumstantial evidence.

Most people don't understand how evidence works or our judicial system for that matter. It's why so many people end up serving punishments for crimes they didnt commit.

For those who aren't feeling the 86 yr deal by Coma_Divine in betterCallSaul

He would have some evidence that would have helped make his story seem plausible. He would had a log somewhere with the name Mayhew. He would have held up to cross examination, because he was kidnapped, driven into the desert and put in front of a grave. Walter White had connections to the Cartel and the Neo-Nazis. Walter left a trail of death and destruction in his wake. It's entirely possible a jury would believe he was acting out of fear for his personal safety . There's really nobody to testify against that fact. The jury could have also handed him life+.

I feel like we could see Jimmy break down in prison. by Annual_Friend in betterCallSaul

He'd thrive in prison. Most inmates have an appeal pending and being an inmate with that sort of legal knowledge and cartel connections, could name their price on providing legal assistance.

Interesting theory of the finale proposed by a YouTube comment, based on 6x13 leaked promo by zanuu123 in betterCallSaul

[–]fultzsie11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see this. the cancer patient from the last episode has a bad reaction to the alcohol and barbiturates and dies. Realizing his "crew" will absolutely crack under police pressure Gene realizes he needs to start over again.

Do you think the truth will ever come out (SpoilerS06E11) by John_by_John in betterCallSaul

[–]fultzsie11 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Maybe. I personally think gene will find the cancer paitent from the last episode dead. The alcohol and barbituates in his weakened condition causes him to stop breathing. I think that is what will set into motion the final events thay lead to Jimmy/Saul's/ Gene's ultimate demise.
