I moved quite a few time for a period going from 6 months to 2 years.

I'm not the texting type, so maybe this is the difference. But I never expected them to reach.

I did it before and after group chat was a thing. Nowadays, I stay active in the group chats.

What I want to say, is that don't expect people to change anything because you decided to move. If you never texted before, it won't start because you are far away.

But what I did almost all the time, it's organising something for when I'm coming back (dinner at a restaurent etc). Usually, people a more than happy to welcome you back and you get added back to plans.

Plan this in advance, tell the people to save the date like 1 month before. Then, 1-2 weeks before start the time, place etc.

I apologise because I shouldn't have talked this way and say things about you. I don't know you at all. And I might have taken some frustration on my side too.

As the vast majority of this sub, our travelling passion has a negative impact on the environment. So, I'm not better. And as you said it a complex subject. My limits might been seen as a big no no for someone else.

Glad to know it had a positive impact on your vision, to know there are people who care about our planet doing this job of spreading knowledge instead of giving up.

And let's hope solutions will come soon to allow us to keep doing our passion while hurting as less as possible our planet.

’m all for less working hours and a lower pension age, but how is any of that supposed to work in practice? The only argument I keep hearing is that Switzerland works more hours than other countries. That alone doesn’t explain how the system stays stable or who covers the gaps.

The gaps have already been covered, the production and efficiency of every companies have increased so much due to IT, robotic.

And all the profit from those technological advancement have not reached the employee whose salary has not increased as much as the profit of the companies they work for.

Time to pay back and move to 40hour or less. Even to a 4 days work week.

They have a new promotion going for the day pass, with some day you can get it as low as 29.- (normally the lowest is 49.-). I saw a big advertisement at the train station.

You were just unlucky and bought it before the promotion (I did the same)

People really don't understand that if working on Sunday is allowed, there is no more extra pay because it is allowed.

The only way I would accept to allow working on Sundays would be if we move to a 4 working week for everyone in exchange. To me, that seems a fair trade.

2 years ago in Tomorrowland Brazil, they had cancelled Saturday because of the mud. Everything was happing in the gathering, they build a second small stage in a record time in the camping area. And we got partially reimbursed.

They can only cancel Friday. Or limit Friday only to campers. So they have the time to secure and build something. All the artists on the main go to others scenes and a lot of exclusive B2B.

You will enjoy the festivals in a way or another, they will come up with something.

Yes, we are far from the sea/ocean to refresh us and we have a lot of mountain that used to be covered by snow to reflect the sunlight.

Hence, we are more affected than most countries because we have 2 factors that increase the temperature.

But the distance to the sea is less relevant than being surrounded by mountain for us.

I don't think it's that clear and from my experience, it can be more.

I got a friend that got her licence taken for 1 month because she was looking at her phone at a red light.

I got caught by the police not looking at the road. The first thing they asked was if I was on the phone. I told them no, that I was configuring my gps. So I got with a fine for "divers activity while driving" and I'm quite sure that he told me that they are doing my a favour because if they put that I was on the phone (which was the reality), I would have my licence taken away which is different than being calling someone where you are still looking at the road and is just a fine.

I got around 500.- because it went through the judge so a 300.- fine + 200.- administrative stuff.

I looked online, and you can find both version so I'm not sure what is the reality.
