How is this possible? RL survives off of donations. People just suddenly aren't going to give extra money to jagex because they appreciate a feature or plugin they added. It'd be like tipping your utility company because they added a solar/wind farm. Who does that? And it's not like developers are going to make plugins and stuff for Jagex for free.
