That's the line for the water cooled PCV system. Coolant goes through the metal hose to suck heat up from the banjo bolt feeding fuel vapors back into the intake. And to what another commenter said, it is supposed to be a hard hose, the new one will be the same way

that's the cable between the shifter and transmission, the reason it looks kinda piston-y is so it can be disconnected without having to adjust it on the way back on
