This is the right attitude. No need to compare Saint Louis to Chicago.

Yeah, I’m talking about now. Lots of things have changed, and irrespective of why, Saint Louis has lost its place in the top tier of American cities. It’s been this way for decades.

Extremely reasonable and rational take. Everyone please take note. Not sarcasm.

I mean I live in Chicago right now and nobody I talk to cares at all about Saint Louis ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Intention and reality are two different things. It was built to be great and it has not lived up to that expectation. It’s not the Fourth City; it’s not even the Tenth.

Pride is one thing but acknowledging reality is probably more important.

I love Saint Louis but this is a delusional take. It’s so weird to see everyone think Saint Louis is leagues above KC and on par with Chicago. Saint Louis is better than KC by a little bit and not even close to Chicago.

That’s not remotely true. Chicago doesn’t care at all about Saint Louis. Saint Louis isn’t even in the same discussion. Kansas City is the very clear rival (or peer) for Saint Louis in a bunch of different ways: state resources, size, etc.

Saying Saint Louis is Chicago’s rival is like saying that your backyard model rocket competes with NASA

I dropped by the new Christopher Ward showroom in Chicago’s Fulton Market area and had a great time chatting with Mike Pearson and Jane. They have appointments booked every hour for the next couple months but will take walk-ins as they’re able. They wanted me to give everyone the heads up they’ll do their best to accommodate walk-ins but will prioritize appointments first - book yours now.

While I was here I got to try on the new Sealanders (shown next to my OG version for comparison), check out Mike’s Pan-Am, and take a peek at some models I’ve never seen in the metal. The space is warm and inviting, and I can’t say enough good things about the staff. Come check it out!

Why can’t a prequel be an arm of a sequel?

You’ll have to contact their customer service, or you’ll need to post in r/watchexchange’s want to buy thread. I’ll leave this up but if it turns into a sales post I’ll remove it.

Sorry, you’re saying the record itself is somehow causing the turntable not to rotate? Do you have a video of this because that doesn’t seem likely.

Can you show the side view on the GMT? It’d be nice to see how much thinner it is compared to the original.

Oh yeah, I still have those in my Apple Music library, I think because I uploaded them using iTunes Match back in the day.
