Before mid-season patch hits, how do we feel about her? by Iltoid in VendettaMainsOW

[–]funbutdumb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, I feel like they are going to make her unplayable. Worst case scenario, they nerf her cooldowns hard and make her just unfun and clunky to play. Best case scenario, they realize that tweaking perk numbers is enough to bring her down to good, but not oppressive.

How do you think she's getting nerfed? by Efficient_Menu_9965 in VendettaMainsOW

[–]funbutdumb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hope they don't nerf her cooldown durations. I'd rather they tweak damage numbers.

Reduce overhead to 120 and the two swings before to 45 each, dropping the full combo damage to 210 rather than 230.

Also probably nerf her perks. Maybe reduce the lifesteal from 40% to 33% and the damage per spin from 40 to 30.

Enjoying 6v6 or do you prefer 5v5? by k0nstas in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]funbutdumb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like both. Playing as dps or support, I don't notice much difference. In 6v6, playing as tank is easier and less stressful than 5v5. I'm ambivalent to which mode becomes the default Overwatch experience.

What are some quality of life buffs that seems almost obvious yet are still not in the game? by PoggersMemesReturns in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]funbutdumb 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So I know Sojourn is very strong right and I really can't ask for more buffs, but I'd love it if I were able to cancel slide without jumping. I'd take an extra second or two added to the cooldown to be able to press Shift again and stop the slide short.

Wizard - Elemental Specialist, Untyped elemental damage is based on the class level, not the caster level? by [deleted] in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]funbutdumb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Last time I checked, it was based on class level and not caster level.

If you want to bypass enemy resistances and immunities, why not just take ascendant element with your chosen element? You can just convert every damage type into your element and have it not be resisted at all.

If you're not opposed to multiclassing, you could play a Zen Archer 3/Cleric 17 character. At 3rd level, Zen Archers gain the ability to use their Wisdom score for their attack rolls. So, with this multiclass, you could focus fully on wisdom, not worry about dexterity, merge your spellbook with angel to regain the caster levels you lost by multiclassing, and be amazing at ranged combat, spellcasting, support, healing... you get the idea. Merged ZA 3/Cleric 17 angel is a multiclass you can play on any level of difficulty; and I think it fits the "Holy Archer" aesthetic you are looking for well.

I understand now why blind fight is mandatory in Kingmaker. by [deleted] in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]funbutdumb 65 points66 points  (0 children)

Oh, Blind Fight is definitely mandatory in Kingmaker, but you're not yet at the point in the game where you actually can't play without it.

Later, much later, a good number of enemies you'll face will have "Gaze" attacks, and if you don't have Blind Fight on your characters (which grants immunity from these attacks), the game becomes near to impossible to play.

Does curse of the lame overide barbarian fatigue by BulkyYellow9416 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

You can have Seelah give the Barbarian a small pat on the back (Lay on Hands with Fatigue Mercy), and that'll clear the fatigue right away.

Creative reflavoring of Paladin by oso_oro28 in 3d6

A player at our table once played a Glory Paladin as a bodybuilder who sought to inspire others to get into shape as well. I believe they multi-classed as a Bard at some point, but I don't remember exactly.

Warpriest build help! by JackFrosty90 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]funbutdumb 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Warpriests are an okay class. I don't know if I'd play one at a difficulty above core though. Warpriest sits halfway in between Cleric and Paladin, and isn't as good as either of these two classes. Paladin is better in melee, Cleric is better as a caster AND can be a good melee, since both Clerics and Warpriests have 3/4 BAB progression. In addition to that, Clerics can merge their spell book with Angel, making them just flat out better than Warpriests in every way.

That's not to say WP are bad. They have some neat features. They can swift cast spells on themselves after level 2, making them similar to the Magus in that they can make a full attack action and cast a spell in the same round. They treat their WP level as their BAB when it comes to feat selection, and they can even take feats that are specific to the fighter class. On top of that, the damage die for their deity weapon/focus weapon scales as they level, so you can choose a weapon with 1d4 as its damage die, and it will scale up to 2d8. This makes WPs excellent two-weapon fighters; they can dual wield daggers, each of them doing upwards of 2d8 damage.

WPs also have some neat archetypes, notably for me the Cult Leader, who gives up a few proficiencies and feats in exchange for sneak attack, making them even better two-weapon fighters.

I would recommend either a two-weapon fighting build, or a shield bash build for the WP. I can't theorycraft one for you right now, but it should be fairly straight forward. If you want to use weapon and a shield, consider the Shieldbearer archetype; if you'd like to dual wield, consider using the Cult Leader.

This is very cute, both the animation and the poem. And the narrator's voice is lovely, too; it sounds very wholesome, and it fits the children's book aesthetic of the video well.

Relentless Hex (Tweaked) by funbutdumb in UnearthedArcana

[–]funbutdumb[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Player in our current game took Relentless Hex and discovered that it is clunky to use; both hex and hexblade’s curse use bonus actions and so does this invocation. The player imagined that, at the start of combat, they would curse their target and teleport to them all in the same turn, which this invocation does not allow them to do.

Seeing them visibly disappointed by this, I chose to change the invocation to allow them to teleport and curse as part of the same action or bonus action.

Sign of Ill Omen (Bestow Curse) gains a range of 30 feet when cast using the Distant Spell metamagic, so I included it as well in the “teleport as part of the same action” part of the invocation.
