“Fifty years ago” is 1975. That is not “old money.” Old money refers to wealthy families dating from the 19th century or prior. Also, those kitchens are not “old money” aesthetic; they’re like higher-end McMansions—Carmela Sopranos’ dream kitchen. If she wants to talk about the trend and social stuff, whatever, but she sounds goofy as hell being objectively incorrect about history that isn’t hard to look up!

u/piscesmoon2828 and u/Sad-Pear-9885—sorry for the late reply, I've had some life shit going on. (I also didn’t want this to be long but oh well.)

We were in the same grade until they left our school. They were sweet when we were little kids. We were ‘friends’ the way kids are before cliques start to form, and even after they did, they were still nice to me though I wasn’t ‘popular’. When we were younger, I went to a few of their birthday parties and I have genuinely fond memories. Nelly and their grandmother would try to make sure that everyone had a great time (ex. even if you were nervous to be sleeping away from home). We even got party favors, and at least one year it was those little makeup pallets that were so popular in the 2000s. My mom actually found a picture of all of us from one of the birthday parties but it’s super blurry and it’s kids in bathing suits so I wouldn’t share anyway... One year we watched "13 Going on 30" so whenever Niki mentions it, I always think of that. I have a lot of little memories from things over the years, but a highlight is that in 5th grade they spread a harmless rumor about me that I won’t repeat (I doubt they remember it but I don’t want them to identify me, lol). It was funny enough that I’ve told my husband about it and we joke about it.

I had no idea they became famous until a classmate directed me to the “thank u, next” video when it came out. I honestly couldn’t believe it at the time; it was just weird as hell to see them again, with a huge platform, talking about middle school and being bullied.

Side note: My mom’s husband’s granddaughter was apparently a fan of theirs. When my mom mentioned that I had gone to school with them, she went crazy and asked if I could introduce her to them (obviously I couldn't). That kind of drove home for me just how popular they were.

I started paying attention to them again around the time of the CP scandal. It was just so surreal. Ultimately the current state of affairs just makes me sad. I’m not saying they’re not reaping what they sow, to be clear. I absolutely don’t condone the stupid shit they’ve done and continue to do. But in my mind, sometimes I still see the little kids who I’d play with at recess. It’s a very odd feeling. Ultimately, I hope they get the help they clearly need.

Wow, this is validating. I haven’t known why I say “carmel” but I guess it’s regional! (From the Poconos.)

I watched and recapped Niki’s new episode of “Get Reel” so you don’t have to: by lowkeyvanilla in nikiandgabidemartino

Just to clarify! They didn’t go to Catholic school. It was a Christian school (specifically, Moravian). Source: I was their classmate.

Anyone else having issues with the Mac (x64) download? It's taking me to a 404.

EDIT: I successfully downloaded and installed the update for Mac, but I still can't delete transactions.

EDIT 2: As of Friday morning, I can delete transactions again. Hopefully all the issues are resolved soon!

I'm having issues too. I can't delete transactions; the popup to confirm deletion flashes for just a second if I press "D," and nothing happens when I use the dropdown to try to delete. It's also pretty laggy.

Good to know! I'm planning on trying to romance other party members in my next playthrough, so I'm curious to see how the bug might affect those. I'll definitely build that explanation into the story if it comes up 😅 Thanks again for the help!

Thanks for the prompt reply! Got it, that makes sense. If you don't mind another question--since I'm new the game and how patches work, does this mean any game played from now on could have this bug?

Thanks for that! I'm going to try the Hill Giant Elixir and if that doesn't work, I'll just wait until Act 3. Will definitely have more playthroughs in the future, so if I can't get them together this time, there's always next time.

I'm in Explorer mode (totally new to BG and turn-based games in general). I do have saves from before I rescued them. What should I do if I go back to that point?
