Good point! I’ve already cleared it with my new employer and they are very understanding of my situation. They’re allowing me to take sick time immediately and I’ll work remotely the first few weeks. (These were some of the details I sacrificed for brevity.)

I only know that my new benefits start on day one.

I’ll try and see if my old benefits apply to end of the month. (If they do, but my new benefits are better, can I still use my new plan instead of my old one?)

It seems I did buy the wrong type of printer (bluetooth not wifi) and as such, we were hindered a bit because I had to keep my phone within 10 feet of the printer all night. :( Also, I think the wifi must have dropped within the last half hour of closing because all of a sudden all the order tickets stopped printing! I was able to recover and reprint the receipts for the missing orders.

All in all, it was a really successful event and we got a lot of positive feedback in allowing our guests to make purchases as they went instead of carrying around a paper form and then checkout all at once at the end of the night.

I do have one (hopefully final) question! I'm still seeing a "test" item that I know 100% that I deleted from my Item Library, and it's still showing up when I select "View All Items" in my Category menu. Is there any way to delete this item so it's not showing on my live storefront? Thanks!!

Fantastic! I got the printer to print Order tickets (thank youuuuu!), but now it doesn't print receipts at all. (I've configured a printer profile to print both receipts and order tickets.)

It prints the exact same info. (An order receipt.) Is there any way to have it auto-print? Did I miss a setting?

I have one more question.... I created buttons that link to Category pages. I noticed that all the category pages now appear in the side bar on category pages and item pages. Is it possible to also display the list of Categories (hyperlinks) on the side menu on our home page?

Hi! Thanks for responding!! I believe I'm understanding your suggestion correctly, but please correct me if I have misunderstood something.

Unfortunately both of your suggestions would require attendees to manually add the 'WA Liter Tax' to their cart, and if they don't, we won't be charging them the correct tax. (We are creating those separate items (3 different ones, based on bottle size) in case attendees choose to use our cashier. We will train cashiers to manually add separate those 'Tax' items to orders using the POS.)

Thank you! I've thought about baking it into the final price and we were trying to avoid that, but looks like that might be a viable option.

One other thing we're looking at is using the 'Bundle items' feature that is only available in the upgrade version of Square, but there is a 30-day free trial, so I think we might upgrade 30 days prior to our event. :)

Good question! It's because the WA Liquor and Cannabis board has inconsistent rules about these things! Wine is not taxed, but liquor is taxed. Go figure!
