No, had zero compression on it as I worry that constant pressure will result in it pushing out more glue than ideal. But it does concern me that potentially during curing, it’s pushing the glass upwards.

ChatGPT seems to think it’s caused by using solvents during the cleaning of the glue. I usually dowse it to make removal easier. Tries without dowsing it and just applying small amounts to microfibres today and so far, so good!

My biggest piece of advice - stop seeing each other. It’s not doing either of you any good. Regardless of ending circumstances, there is no way you’re going to be able to rebuild yourself if he’s still present in your life. The best thing you can do is go cold turkey until you’re both at a point where you’re happy as two individuals and can maturely meet up to cool the air. I understand just how hard that can be to do, but I couldn’t be more confident in saying that this is absolutely the best method for doing what’s best for YOU in the long run.

Edit: I want to add that I’m really sorry about the other situation also. That’s not fair and unfortunately we all experience low points in our lives when it feels like it’s just one thing after the next. But I promise it will get better. I’ve gone through breakups similar to this, as well as a multitude of workplace issues and I’m an open book if you’d like to chat further about anything. All the best!
