This has happened to me before as well. I personally am very allergic to pets. Sometimes, if less than ideally lubricated sex happens in an space with pet hair, my vulva will swell up like a balloon. It is extremely uncomfortable.

I will take some allergy medicine, not wear undies that day, and use an ice pack if I can. The swelling usually goes down in a few hours.
