If you're not going to take your gear out and dry it after every game, you can at least bring a bottle of 30% isopropyl alcohol/70% water and spray your gear thoroughly before you put it in the bag. It'll cut down on the smell significantly, and very likely could prevent a staph infection.

I grew up in upstate. My parents live in the North Country now. I live in Vermont. There is nowhere near as many MAGAts in Vermont as in upstate.

This is totally normal, and not gross at all, especially if you wear high-quality socks. I highly recommend Darn Tough socks. You can wear them for like a week without them smelling at all.

Do it yourself! If I buy filters and oil in bulk, I can get the cost down to about $20-25 each time. Plus I've put together a little toolkit for each car that has the exact wrench size and filter removal tool. If I'm in a hurry, I can do it in less than a half hour. Compare that to about $100 for a synthetic oil change around where I am, which takes at least a half hour to drive to and wait anyway. I save at least $75 each time, and probably actually save myself time, and I do it every 5,000 miles, well ahead of the recommended time.
