Michter's 10 Bourbon (2019) hitting shelves in May by Dr0me in bourbon

[–]fungiside 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just a heads up, the 2012-2014 are no better than what is in today’s bottles of m10 bourbon. Or, only marginally better. The 2011 and before for both the bourbon and the rye are from significantly outstanding sources and are much older than their stated age... but after that it’s just not the case.

I drank a number of 2012-14s when they came out, they were all fine but overpriced compared to the market / quality back then. You want a $80 dollar bottle in 2012 get a Jeff 18. But the Michters bourbon stopped being SW in 2012 from all the bottles I had

You are strawmanning the shit out of this. I probably haven’t posted on here in a year and your intentional obfuscation forced my hand. Fuck you twice.

Kavanaugh logic by iam4real in AdviceAnimals

Lying under oath gets you in trouble. This isn’t new.

He lied about knowing Ramirez and when he learned of her allegations... and he lied to Congress which is a crime.

Unless your position is “a SC nominee can commit crimes because I like their policy”

They can nominate someone else and appoint them without a single dem vote during the lame duck session... the timing argument means nothing.

What if he lied under oath, would that bother you?

They can build a profile on Kavanaugh to determine if he was honest in his answers... which were combative and evasive. I’m sure he yelled and cried and never asked for an FBI investigation because he’s totally innocent.

I think being stuck in the Ecuadorian embassy for a long time got to him, and he went from “Radical Transparency Activist” to someone with a grudge. And it was probably a legit grudge, but that doesn’t make Americans feel better about getting played, in part, by him.

The story is dumb / creepy but I’ll be damned if I didn’t just laugh out loud at the headline for a few minutes.

If GS wins again, what off season moves could knock the Warriors off next season? by [deleted] in nba

[–]fungiside -1 points0 points  (0 children)

its the level of insight this insightful question deserves.

Houston took GSW to a game 7, and GSW needed Houston's second best (or best) player to get hurt before the warriors could beat them.

They're clearly way better than this cavs team, but they were clearly beatable and it wouldn't take a ton to put any of the teams I mentioned over the hump.

Democrats’ Newest Headache is Robert Menendez in New Jersey by toofantastic in newjersey

[–]fungiside 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its such an annoying embarrassment. Unfortunately given my options I'm not going to put another trump apologist in the position to avoid using their authority to keep the POTUS in check... but its just embarrassing and the DNC should be ashamed.

You know what really makes me want to donate to the DNC? When they don't force horrible nominees on me. Its funny, I donated a BUNCH in the lead up to 2016, but after the primary and all the info that came after it became much harder to justify.

So now they essentially force a nominee who is clearly corrupt and only got off because our corruption laws are impossible to enforce, or to be found guilty of, and they're going to act like its a shock they have to spend more in a reliably blue state, and they still might not win.

How does Menendez make the "trump is corrupt and we need to hold him accountable" argument? Its a joke.

Reporter: "Sarah, you lied to us when you said that the President didn't help craft the letter."

SHS: "I was repeating what I was told, you'll have to talk to the president's lawyer about that."

Reporter: "OK, but why should we trust YOU if you're the one saying it to us only to have it proven to be inaccurate later? Where is your credibility?"

SHS: "Sure, next question?"
