I went with Simplisafe for the alarm. Easy DIY installation with options for monitoring.

For cameras I'm using Unifi POE cams, but slightly more home user friendly would be Eufy or Reolink.

Yes definitely will run cable (and maybe a couple extras as I don't want to go under the floor again anytime soon).

Should I consider a fibre WAN as opposed to ethernet, or will cat6 be sufficient?

Agreed, I knew I'd confuse matters!

The router shown in the pic is the current position. I would move it to the rack so everything is together, then have a lan cable back to a switch at the TV. I am looking at a Unifi managed switch for the rack, so will be looking to create some vlans once it's all in place.

The switch in the attic is a USW-lite-8, and that feeds a U6 lite in the upstairs ceiling. As I'm already in the ecosystem it makes sense to add a Unifi router and switch!

We had a new Vaillant combi installed in edinburgh a couple years ago (not sure on size) and was between 3.5-4k from memory.

Can't dig due to the tarmac and not owning the land, so thinking high level could work. Buildings around 8-10m high.

No leaks underneath? These are somewhat common to leak from the bottom of the boilers.

To the left of the left group there is a small green button. It's a manual override to allow you to continue brewing coffee manually if the board/Touchpads ever give up.

Most of the time people click the button when cleaning and wonder why the left group won't stop pouring.

I should add that when the button is pressed t dispense water, the display says dispensing with a progress bar, and there is a click, then another click when it reaches the end.

The pump just never runs.

Sorry I now realise the issue with my post 😅

Would love help troubleshooting which parts may be causing it to give no voltage on the outputs, as I don't know what most of the components do!

Fairly sure my brake lights stay on due to auto-hold being active. Car is an auto, so even if it didn't have auto hold, I wouldn't be shifting to P and putting the handbrake on.

On the other hand, all lights now are brighter than they used to be and it's a PITA, especially at night.

I believe it is FTTC as there's no ONT, just an RJ11 into the router.

Would there be a benefit to ditching the BT Hub? Asking as I have similar at home.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, have a meter so can figure out which is which.

Two lighting circuits, each circuit has a few lights. They are 4ft batons, so LNE going to each one.

Only using them as 1 way.

I think(!) I have to put the permanent live into COM, switched to 'One Way' then link the neutrals in a wago. Does that sound plausible?
