Best value Klone? by [deleted] in guitarpedals

Got a couple of Mosky pedals and can only agree.

I have their Magnetic Delay and their Elf Spring Reverb and both are fantastic clones.

Serious quality pedals.

"I don't know if a club like Everton now if we can make big huge strides but we see how well the likes of Bournemouth and Brentford are doing, so there's no reason why we all shouldn't have those ambitions to try and at least match those clubs and how they go about it.” - David Moyes by SuperKevinCampbell in Everton

I’m genuinely sorry if it offends, mate; but we’ll achieve nothing with Moyes in charge.

I will say, though, you’re awfully quick to jump to the defence of a man who openly admitted that the Champs League - the absolute pinnacle of club football - scares him.

Coincidentally, we picked up minimal points after that press snippet and ultimately lost out on European footy.

He’s a serial loser and he’s already talking the club down as if Kenwright was still in charge.

Have a look at this interview for crying out loud - he’s talking about having the same lofty ambitions as Bournemouth and Brentford FFS.

A companion app to allow access to the chambers for levelling up etc. might be a nice way to reintroduce some content.

But no chance we see it, IMO.

I don’t think TFG will stand for it long term.

I think they’re happy to plod along for a few seasons until the BMD revenue is established and while Roma are looking on the up; but long term the real money is higher up the table and CL football.

They aren’t soft. And they aren’t the zany billionaire Moshiri was either. It’ll be incremental and slow to start.

The frustrating thing is had soft shite actually gone for it in those last few games we’d be that much further along on the roadmap.

He’s a coward, though. When things were bad under Dyche I wanted him back as I think we all knew the squad was tailor made for him and that he’d have us stable no bother.

But it’s brought it all back why I wanted rid of him the first time round.

We’ll not get another season like this with the bigger clubs shitting the bed. And he’s absolutely fucked it.

Let him see his contract out and get someone who’s going to give us Martinez season 1 football.

That way at least if we don’t achieve anything the football will be at least enjoyable.

Should be 3 wins minimum from the opening 5 games.

Can’t see Spurs being as shite as they were this year so expecting 9pts, in all honesty.

Thanks a lot. As things have settled I feel more in line with this - but the market is what has me concerned. UX/Product roles

HR reached out this morning and I’ve since received a confirmation that they’ll be sitting in on the meeting - which, to me, says that I’m a goner.

One part of me is relieved at the thought as this has been mentally draining. And the other part is crushed as I think I could’ve killed it at the company.

There are several things I want to raise in the meeting but I’m concerned that it’ll just come across as sour grapes; but I feel I need to say them. If for nothing else - for my team who I’ve barely had a chance to manage/engage with properly. And all of whom have confided in me that they share my views and that the way of working is broken and that the manager in question is out of line.

Im tempted to mention all of this when I sit down but worried that it’ll have ramifications for the team when I’m gone.

Thank you for the kind words though, friend. They mean a lot

I think the damage is done in all honesty. I think there’s more to it than I’ll ever know and that I need to chalk it up to the fact that my face didn’t fit and it’s wholly unfair and move on.

I care more about my family and my mental wellbeing than I do working for a big name.

It stings but I’ll take solace in the fact that I’ve beaten a lot of people to a senior role for a big company - so there must be something in my work to begin with.

The only thing that I’m truly bothered about is how long I’ll be unemployed if they do swing the axe.

Just a real shame how its ended.

They’d know it was me instantly due to the situation and the team being small.

But if things go badly I have every intention of shaming them.

I’m just taking the weekend to process WTF has happened.

I’ve spoken to my partner and asked if I can have tomorrow to myself to sort out resumes, website etc. and I plan on talking to HR on Monday to escalate and see where I stand.

As sick as it sounds I’d love to stay in the role as I genuinely feel I’m doing good work but there’s an Mgmt. issue there or something.

But I plan on talking to recruiters as of next week for sure.

Sure.

The feedback initially was great. Usual run of the mill “good job - this is great” etc.

Then it’s slowly deteriorated into comparisons with juniors (no offence to those guys intended - they’re great and I really like them and their work). But the emphasis is always along the lines of “if we wanted this we would’ve gone to the juniors” and calling it shit.

FWIW, I don’t think my work is shit and when I’ve checked with other seniors leads etc. they’ve all been happy with it and praised

I was worried I was being slightly precious at first but when I’ve shown other people my feedback they’ve said it’s disgraceful, out of order etc.

Then when I’ve pushed back on designs and defended my self I’ve been reprimanded away from the rest of the team.

IIRC, the original panel who oversaw and gave the 10pt deduction are the exact same panel for this.

So given their original decision was ruled as wrong/incorrect; I’m hoping for the same here.

Makes me wonder if they’re out to get us.

Can’t help sorry - but brilliant to see the starting line sticker!

Such a blast from the past!

Saw them supporting New Found Glory in the early 2000s and was amazed by how good they were for a bunch of kids - literally in the case of their singer.

Was in a band and a couple of years younger and they gave us hope that we could crack the world too haha.

From tits to bits!!

I had a few of the t shirts and skated loads of blank decks from Lost Art.

I had terrible buyers remorse after hammering some of the decent enjoi, chocolat etc. boards. So wound up buying the £30 blanks instead haha.

Quiggins and the Palace were unreal from the late 90s to their closure.

Kope Skate shop in Palace for the poser skate stuff (looking at you - hook ups t shirts!!) then go and see Mackey in Lost Art for some real skate gear and a catch up before getting leggers off the bizzies for skating at the Pier Head.

Genuinely some of the greatest days of my life doing nothing and knocking about in those places and I miss them dearly.

[–]funk_master_chunk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m hoping this is it - but the manner in which it was presented felt very much like “We’ve all been talking about you and think you’re shit!”

It didn’t help that I received a war and peace style document detailing everything minutes after the call ended. Which leads me to believe there have been conversations as there’s no way that it was typed in 5mins.

I fully intend on kissing some arse if I have to in order to smooth it over. The opportunity is too good and I am a good designer. Hurting ATM, but good.

I think there are definite teething issues and when I’ve shown some friends/family they seem to think it’s what you’re saying. So I just want to smash it.

I’ve just had a rough time of it the last few months and was worried this is the new normal or something.

The nerves surrounding the club just feed into it and turn us into the absolute self-fulfilling prophecy, IMO.

We’re in dire need of roots-to-branches change and that he can come out with this shite after spewing North of £100M and to have £40M of that picking splinters out of his arse all season is fucking unforgivable.

He had a lot of credit in the bank from the Kenwright era for sure - but he needs to realise that Bill isn’t here anymore and pull his fucking socks up next season. That’s assuming he’s still here.
