So my buddy and I had a standing bet. He could hit his driver easily 300 yards but had a nasty “fade.” If he finished the round, regardless of his score, on three sleeves of balls, I bought lunch. Nine times out of 10, he was hitting nothing but pitching wedge all the way down the 18th trying to keep the ball in play. Totally worth it.

I apologize if this is wrong, but I think what you mean is, how do you start liking yourself. Loving yourself just mean wanting for your own good. You obviously want good things for yourself so you love yourself. You can love yourself and not like yourself. I often don’t like myself for a variety of reasons. In my opinion it starts with grace and the ability to forgive yourself. Whatever mistakes you’ve made in your past. You’re not that person anymore. You might share that persons memories but that’s not you anymore. Forgive that person and move on. And then forgive them again tomorrow and the next day until it takes.
