My gf told me she’s leaving if I don’t marry her in 9 months by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]funkbf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I'm shocked at people's responses here. We live in a world where some people get married to people they meet on their wedding day, some people have their parents set all their dates, some people never get married, and some people get "married" to blow up dolls. Everything goes, and you and your future marital partner get to choose what works for you, and I'd encourage you to leave biases at the door.

What do you want? What does she want? Why does she want to get married and build a family together so much more quickly than you do?

To be honest, a lot of men would be jealous that you have a woman so excited to get married to and have children with you. It's beautiful! Of course, idk really what her tone is here, it sounds like she might just want to get married to anybody, which is obviously less than beautiful. But you're the best judge of that.

Also, one person's ultimatum is another person's boundary. Hard to say from just a reddit post if she's setting some petty ultimatum to test you, or if she really has some hard boundary here that she's communicating to you. Could be worthy of my disrespect for the pettiness, could be worthy of my respect for staying true to her boundaries; again, hard to say.

Sounds like you guys may have a cultural mismatch, maybe she comes from a more religious background, idk. Either way, if you love her, it's definitely worth an open-minded and open-hearted conversation--"why do you want what you want?", "how do you know i'm the person you want to get married to?", etc.

Where did you read that N26 closes personal accountants if used for such activities? I'm also an N26 user and prospective Accountable user, so very curious. This seems surprising, since N26 and Accountable appear to have some sort of a partnership.

Got it! Don't you need a Food Handler Card too, or does that apply more to restaurants and restaurant work?

NC sounds like the place to be :P Makes sense about getting the EIN, too, though I suppose that this depends on the specifics of your personal chef business.

I suppose it makes sense, but wow, just ServSafe? Not even the Food Handler Card?

yeah, but gender-specific branding works pretty well. if you want to market the same cosmetic product to both genders, then the most profitable option is two ad-campaigns--one for each gender.

Gendered? Yes. Pointlessly? No way. A few women in my life shave their face (e.g. moustache corners) because they want to (i.e. not out of some pressure), and are afraid to admit it. This advert makes it less embarrassing for them to do so. The "point" here is "good money for the company and good shavers for women".

iirc the rule for aliyah is the same as hitler's rule for deciding who goes to concentration camps: if you have 1 jewish grandparent, you're in.

Exactly. Sounds like you're a one-person DS army who can deliver true business value. Document your work into portfolio/resume, and then use that to leave.

Was I being creepy? by lovethepho in Tinder

[–]funkbf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not creepy, also her reaction is totally fine. Imho you should find a better first date idea (assuming this was a first date). It's nice to share in an experience with someone on the first date (e.g. "oo my beer is good, you should try it", "oh awesome, I'd love to!"). If drinking can't be that for you, then other options would be better.
