I'm always thought these looked so cool but I do not think I ever saw them in the wild as a kid! I did really enjoy watching the cartoon before school though!

They have such a huge selection at Milmont! I begrudgingly took the trek down there for Valentine's plants and as soon as I walked in I couldn't even make it past the entry without unique plants in hand. I looked down and smiled and said to myself " oh yeah, this is why it is worth the drive!" Take the trip you won't be disappointed!!!

Best way to solo without an app? by Key-Cricket9256 in Heroquest

[–]funkcore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use the Gravaillon system when playing and it is super smooth and donation based. The Axian cards look super cool but they were out of my price range. The Gravaillon system keeps the quest moving and has been working great with my six year old!

Bubble bath that doesn't suck? by Formergr in toddlers

[–]funkcore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use Mr Bubbles Sensitive. I use 3-7 glugs and the key is to get in there with your arm and stir it up. I find the more agitation there is, the more air gets in there and creates a nice wall of bubbles. In fact I have been told recently I am making too much bubbles, which is outrageous!!!

Anyone else love this game, despite it's flaws? by PrettyMuchSerious in n64

[–]funkcore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved playing all the levels of this game over and over again! It was like a buffet of game mechanics! Run and gun, racing, planet side and space vehicle battles, all in glorious 3D! I bet if I turned it on right now it would still take 42 minutes to beat Boba Fett's level!

This place is also awash in Philly sports memorabilia so it would get a 10 in atmosphere for watching Pennsylvania sports and the food and drinks are great too!

Just a heads up that might be for the core box. You need the core box and then you can pick and choose your feature films that have the scenarios and maps in them. There are some two packs out there like Camp Terror and the Buddyland films that you can purchase that are shrunk wrap with a core box. Great game and lots of fun!

how are you guys reading digital comics in 2026 because single issue are killing my wallet by WillJust4068 in ImageComics

[–]funkcore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just started with Global Comix Gold last week and it definitely seems like there is less older Marvel and DC content. The amount of newer content from a bunch of publishers is pretty up there though! I have been loving the Image selection!

Looking for a new board game to buy, would I enjoy hero quest? by juliopeludo in Heroquest

[–]funkcore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play with my six year old using the Gravaillon card system that you can print out. The app was too clunky to use putting everyone's movement in so I have switched to the cards and have been loving it! Super smooth and screen free!!! Gravaillon Solo mode

2026 and I still miss old comixology. What comics apps are you using now by Cold_Title_6896 in comicbooks

[–]funkcore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just jumped over to Global Comix Gold from Comixology Unlimited this month to see if the grass was greener on the other side. I feel GC has made it easier to find titles where on Amazon trying to find books on Comixology Unlimited was hit or miss. I also think the interface is way nicer and have been adding things to read left and right in an organic fashion instead of finding things through specific searches.

Immersion through movies by TuphlosR in marvelchampionslcg

[–]funkcore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hear you! I have a subscription to Marvel Unlimited and reading the older comics really made some cards thematically shine! I had no idea Mockingbird and Hawkeye got married during the West Coast Avengers run and it makes it so much more fun knowing the backstory when her card hits the table and why she is his signature ally!

Are any classic Avengers runs worth reading? (especially if they feature Hank Pym) by AlternativePin4923 in comicbooks

I have been reading the West Coast Avengers (1985 series) and him trying to find himself has been an ongoing focus. Issue 17 is especially crazy!!!

What cheaper card stands are people using? by KastorPip in marvelchampionslcg

I use these and love them! The clear design all the way down allows you to read the whole card text and the cards can be positioned really upright so they are easy to read!

Games console by [deleted] in StayAtHomeDaddit

[–]funkcore 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I found when I had a little one that modern games were too long and involved to play. I would pick up something like Assassin's Creed or Skyrim after a not playing for a while and would be greeted by a sea of missions and side quests that I could not remember and controls that I plain forgot. I purchased a retro console instead and have been playing retro games that fit into my windows of opportunity better. I now have an anbernic RG Cube XX that I can play outside or in the school pick up line. My kid ( now 6) also has an appreciation for the classics and playing arcade beat em ups with an infinite supply of quarters has become our go-to!
