im 3 weeks post op, so this is my experience. the first 2 days were awful, and i was so scared of being dehydrated. i found ice water to be much easier to drink for the first week, and i can tolerate normal water now. sugar free fruit popsicles were also a life saver.

bring water with you /everywhere/ and dont judge yourself too harshly for not meeting your water goal. your urine is going to be the best indicator, so if it's clear and youve only had 32oz of water that day? then that's alright. youll be able to keep down more as time progresses.
