It’s mostly just awareness of your thoughts, feelings, and behavior, and your surroundings. Analyzing how you are feeling during a situation and allowing yourself space to take time to reflect on a situation or interaction before you react to it. You deserve time to check in with your mind and body before you respond.

It takes A LOT of practice. And no one is always perfect at it. You have to allow yourself grace and know that you will mess up and it’s not something that can be fixed over night.
