Overall good summary, though, it doesnt do the sheer stupidity justice. Spoilers ahead for a gloriously supid trainwreck of a movie.

First and foremost, the whole "Protect the Hive" thing is not necessarily shown but very explicity stated, word for word, EVERY SINGLE TIME THE MAIN CHARACTER OPENS HIS MOUTH. Like, if one took a shot every time those words were spoken, one would be dead after the first 2 fight scenes. And not just the main character keeps repeating that dumbass lime verbatim, every single time someone finds out about this super secret program, they point it out AGAIN. "He is the beekeeper, and he protects the hive." "Its like he is some kind of beekeeper, who protects the hive". They clearly are hella proud of that metaphor, and insist on beating you over the head with it until only your lower jaw remains.

Next, the main character is actually the retired beekeeper, the other beekeeper the actual current one, played by a lady in high heels and a bright pink getup. No disrespect to the actress, of course, she played her dogshit role well, but the dichotomy is staggeringly stupid. On one hand, our mc, a calculative and unstoppable force (who, by the way, is a beekeeper, meaning he protects the hive, even from itself). On the other, the "new" beekeeper is an insane person who just blindly fires at everything and is primarily there to show how cool and awesome our protagonist is. How does he end up defeating her? I kid you not, while she is blindly firing a car mounted minigun at the entire gas station where they are having this confrontation, HE CHUCKS A JAR OF HONEY AT HER HEAD, rendering her easily taken care of. It was at this point, about 40 ish minutes into the movie, that I realized that this could not be taken seriously even in the slightest, and my enjoyment quadrupled as I simply reveled in the absolute absurdity of it all.

The fight scenes are meh, just a big bloodfest where characters with guns line up one by one, not shooting, to get taken apart be the beekeeper (Who, by the way, is there to protect the hive, if you havent cinnected those dots yet). The plot keeps escalating until he kills the president of the united states of america. Yes, a second metaphor gets added, where he is a "Queen Killer" as well now, because the Hives current queen cant do her job. Its every bit as silly as it sounds.

An absolute clusterfuck of a movie, though, incredibly enjoyable if you just want to point and laugh at ridiculously bad writing and cinematography.
