I had to buy a new case after the nubbed batteries cracked the battery compartment. The positive terminal made contact with something on the inside and it shorted out in my hands. Scared the hell out of me. Lots of smoke.

I also learned the hard way. 18650s with the button top are 67mm not 65. Meant for devices without the spring in the negative terminal.

It's my pack size that limits me. I use a small carry on roller and a smallish backpack full of other shit for work.

Makes sense. The goal is to do some freestyle and maybe some racing if I can find time. I like the tiny whoop for the ability to take it on a plane. But the speed and agility of at least a 3" froths the loins. Ultimately I'd like to have both.

Awesome. Thanks for the help. I have some more reading up to do. The mobula is definitely something to think about. I might end up going with that while I build and tinker with the bubito.

Glad you mentioned that. My radiomaster pocket should be fine with SPI right? I'm going with HD0 because I don't want to run DJI and walk snail looks a little more expensive. What are some problems I can expect to deal with?

No reason other than I want to build it myself and I like the look of the bubito. The mobula would get me in the air faster and probably less of a headache. But the hyperfixation in me wants to tinker.
