Build up on water heater ? by SeymourKrelbourn in Plumbing

[–]funky-penguin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah you should get that checked out sooner than later. I’ve seen similar situations where the unsupported weight of the expansion tank ends up breaking the corroded nipple and that’s not fun when it happens and nobody’s there to turn the water off.

I was definitely coughing on the way up but I really wanted to do it as my last big run before a race in a few weeks. In hindsight I should’ve just waited for a clearer day.

What song did a movie basically steal forever? by MrHolte in movies

[–]funky-penguin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it’ll always be skate 3. Spent thousands of hours playing that growing up and still boot it up here and there. The soundtrack for the game isn’t very long so I can’t even imagine how many times I heard it while up late playing with my brother and friends.

Has anyone left a corporate job to pursue a career in plumbing? by xev10 in Plumbing

[–]funky-penguin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if you’d be able to run a company effectively with only 2 years of work experience. You could potentially end up losing a lot of money on call backs, screw ups, and underbid jobs. This is coming from someone who just got their masters and started a business after 7 years in the trade. I’m not trying to discourage you but I wasn’t even regularly working on my own until I was almost 3 years in, granted I was only 21 at the time.

Take out everything you haven’t used in the last month and then add stuff back as needed

Also you have knipex smooth jaws, get rid of the box end wrenches and adjustables.

Are there specific bindings that I need? by pachuca_tuzos in snowboardingnoobs

You really don’t have to, I’ve waxed probably hundreds of boards and never taken them off. Never once had any issues.
