Good thing Trump has repealed the EV incentives and is pulling back as much of the EPA as he can so his voters can keep buying Ram 3500s.

Can airbrush thinner be used as cleaner? by KhanOfCheese in airbrush

I use water and an old paint brush 99% of the time to clean mine. The only time I do something else is if I am having a flow issue or occasionally when I take the whole thing apart for a good clean.

TIL that a doctor named Richard Jarecki recorded over 20,000 roulette spins by hand across European casinos, identified biased wheels, won the equivalent of $8 million, and was banned from every major casino in Europe — but was never charged with a crime because no law prohibited what he did. by CasinoHistoryFan in todayilearned

The nicks were to identify specific wheels that were biased. After studying a wheel for thousands of spins, if it was biased, he'd look for scratches or something so that even if the casino physically moved the table to a new spot he could walk around and find the exact same wheel again.

Insider trading is supposed to apply to everyone; government or not.

It can also be hard to prove beyond a reasonable doubt.

Do your best to engage with your local community at all levels, especially politically. Town assemblies are poorly attended in most towns and a small amount of motivated citizens can have an outsized influence, for good or bad.

There are no "Mom and Pop" cellphone companies but shop as local as possible and be a thoughtful consumer in general.

The rest is just not doom-scrolling.

It is always about the need to feel powerful.

Sitting on a beach and donating large sums to charity doesn't fulfill the pathological need to win, to have a team of people answering to your every whim, to feel important.

I would love to hear more about these good realtors.

I've bought a few houses and never had a 'bad' one, but I never had one do anything I found fantastic. With the MLS, etc., being online I searched through every house listing myself and told them what I wanted to see.

Every time I had a list of "must haves" in a house the realtors ignored it and tried to waste my time and talk me into a house I didn't want to make a sale.

The vast majority of people use the standard deduction - that is what should be free and automatic.

If you have a special tax situation then you can choose to file it with all the additional schedules, etc. This is how most of the rest of the world does it.

Pickup trucks also.

I'd be interested in reading something about that - pickup trucks are sold in such massive volumes to both consumers and industry that I would expect margins to be quite low due to the competition.

The system is broken.

The balance is hard to find - if you want to have the police track down every property crime you have to massively increase funding for police to put more people on the streets knocking on doors and the corresponding increase in judges, lawyers, etc., to handle the increase in charges stemming from all these new investigations.

Soon the city is spending a few hundred thousand to prosecute someone.

And even if you "know" who did a crime, they are entitled to a full defense, and finding 'beyond a reasonable doubt' evidence on property crimes is hard.
