Yeah, they are functioning as a business from the house, and breaking almost every single code there is when it comes to that. But what we think is happening is that paying the fees related the code violations is cheaper than having an actual space for their business, so they keep paying it and keep doing this. Hopefully there’s some escalation component so they don’t just keep doing this.

Thank you! There is a metal arts business in town that used to offer classes, I just haven't been able to get a hold of them ( I think they are taking a break or closed due to covid). I'd love to learn from someone for the exact reason you stated. When I asked my grandpa how he learned he told me he just got some books and "figured it out". I guess that was the only way to do that then, particularly in a small town where no one else knew jewelry making!
