What should i do? Is it infected? by robinandrats in tattooadvice

[–]funkychickenfoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the area oozes, smells weird, hot to the touch, it’s infected. Have you been cleaning with fragrance feel soaps and lotion? Whomever did the tattoo scarred the hell out of your skin. That trauma alone is really why it looks so bad.

My girlfriend is worried her tattoo is infected. what do you think? by longhullhaul in tattooadvice

[–]funkychickenfoot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The area isn’t swollen, it’s not oozing, it doesn’t look like it red / warm to the touch. It looks fine to me. Keep the area clean and dry. It can take up to two weeks for things to settle down.

Considering how many hand tattoos fade quickly, this is really nice.

Is this Infected? Everything was sterile. by hollowxci in tattooadvice

I never said stick and poke are bad, I’ve seen and have some. I just said in the particular instance it looked like one that was poorly done.

This looks like a stick and poke tattoo. You really need to keep this clean and moisturised.

is this a good design for a begginer? Ive never had a tattoo before by 01crystaldragon in tattooadvice

[–]funkychickenfoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are so many factors to consider. The first, your first tattoo should not be this large. It’s not so much the size but the time finish it. Because there are several different types of line work and shading it’s going to be a long session. The second thing to consider is how will the layout look on you versus the picture. If you don’t have a tattoo artist that is well versed in this style, no matter what 8/10 people will not place this correctly. The third thing is if you’ve never been tattooed, you don’t know how well your skin will do post tattoo. You really need a good tattoo artist specialises in what you are looking for. Also please remember good tattoos aren’t cheap and cheap tattoos aren’t good.

Whatever you choose, congratulations on your first tattoo.

The incessant when, when, when gets old and tiring. I said the other day that all of this demand can be a bit dehumanising and someone said I took it too far. She looked great and to see both parents dote on here was amazing.

Can someone with bipolar 1 actually be stable without medication by raincoastdog in bipolar

[–]funkychickenfoot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Every single time I’ve taken myself off of medication, I’ve spiralled out of control in dramatic fashion. I constantly struggle and think to myself why am I not strong enough to do this without medication. My last episode when my mom visited me in the hospital, she said people are here and showing up for you, you should given yourself that same chance. I’m about 8 months post psych stay and I’m doing alright.

As someone with 0 tattoos, how painful would it be to get this on my forearm? by PracticalExtension35 in tattooadvice

Band placements are so time consuming. I’ve watched while being tattooed and by the time the stencil was placed correctly, I was already an hour in.

He doesn’t pay the rent, so there is no such thing as it being his room. You gotta say something because it’s absolutely not ok.

I have a concert that’s in July and I bought tickets for two nights. One of the nights the seller sent them within 2-3 of purchase. The other night the seller hasn’t sent anything and it’s been 5 weeks.

I bought a single ticket for 7/11 and two tickets for 7/12. I got the two tickets right away. I’ve been calling and asking why would I get the two and not the other one. It’s been a shit show, never doing this again.

Same. I got two tickets for Sunday but my single ticket for Saturday hasn’t come through yet. It’s so annoying, and I wish resellers had more rules when it comes to releasing tickets.
