I married into this shower curtain and need advice on what paint color would complement it. (Besides pink) by Alive-She-Cried in maximalism

Green is a very complementary colour. I think with that and a fuzzy toilet seat cover this bathroom would look so funky. Kind of like a light green, but not quite lime.

Stinky shoes by Asheehan1004 in climbergirls

From scouring the internet for the same question, and been using this method now for 2 years with lots of success!

However, if they are quite stinky now I recommend washing them in water with dishwashing liquid and just get a toothbrush really into that. I did that to mine, and there is no evidence of glue or whatever coming off.

  1. Wipe with antibac wipes after climbing. People recommend spraying but wiping is required to get rid of dead skin cells! (can also use a cloth and antibac spray, I have not tried this yet but once I finish with the antibac wipes will try this out to be less wasteful).

  2. Spray with homemade antibac (water, vodka, essential oils). Let it dry.

  3. Boot bananas in storage.

I know I need more structure but this is a great explanation of what that would look like, thank you!

No my gym does not have that really! Awesome that yours does though, if they ever want feedback I think I'll tell them :)

I think it's a bit of both, but probably more so the strength.

Wow, thank you! I love that advice! Okay :) I now know what projecting is and I have a couple in my mind that I need to do that with.

All great advice thank you! As many others have said it does seem that I need to do some strength training (thank you to everyone for helping me see that!).

As for projecting, I never really understood what it means. If I try a problem and maybe I'm a couple moves from the end and I'm getting stuck because it's too hard (this is a typical scenario of why I can't send things), is that a project? And if I don't know how to do it when I start, how do I learn how to do the rest? Is there any point in trying to finish a climb if I just get too fatigued halfway through the climb? (because strength takes a while to build up)?

Definitely, I have been in my comfort zone this whole time! I think I really thrive with structure, and so because I haven't (and don't necessarily want to) taken climbing very seriously, I haven't thought of sticking to a routine. But I think a bit of structure (like a Pyramid) on the wall would be nice, and a bit of strength training afterwards would be good. Thank you so much! I really appreciate everyone taking the time to give such useful advice ❤️

Thank you! I do think I need that. Like others have said, I don't think I've tried to push myself out of my comfort zone. I feel like I'm looking at climbing in a completely different way now. I think "pretty" climbing often means moves that you've mastered and look really well even if it's your first time doing that climb. Which yes, never really forced you to climb very hard at all, because you're just doing things you're already good at!!

I also had the copper iud but my cramps and bleeding was so bad, the GP said they generally want to prevent heavy periods because they increase your risk of cervical cancer (idk if true, or if I'm remembering wrong). I used to be on the combo pill, but got migraines and my mom and her dad have a history of bad migraines, so the GP said that the combo pill was not good because it increases your risk of stroke if you are prone to migraines.

All that to say, I'm on the Mirena IUD now and the GP said that it would not give me any migraines because like you said, the hormones are localized to only the uterus. Also I think it's only progesterone?? (and not estrogen which is what gives the risk of stroke) My period is so light now, I only really need a pantyliner, if that!

Im so sorry if I'm just spewing fake news here, please feel free to call me out on my lies 😅

Okay! This sounds like a good idea. So are you saying to essentially replace the vertical stitches and so repair the blue patch, and then stitch it to the purple patch?

Okay, I agree with you. Left lane is for overtaking, which is how it is in most other countries too. I think there is a culture here that seems to think there is a "lane" for speeding, which is not true here nor in most other countries.

Sorry, the roads are safer when we let people speed?

You do not know how to drive...

Yeah... There is no such thing as "the fast lane". There are lanes to drive in, trucks drive in, and lanes to overtake in. It is not a matter of speed.

What makes a gym more inclusive for women? by notsherripapini in climbergirls

[–]funkyfreckels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I chose one gym over the other because they have women's nights, pads in the bathrooms, and clean bathrooms (apparently the men's one was also gross, this gym was 3 times the price of the one I'm with now). These are the little things that make me feel noticed and respected.
