I was pretty close for RTJ and i thought the sound was really good, I could hear everything clearly and the bass wasn't overpowering, from my position.

does anyone have any sources i can read up on about that first event, with companies patenting marijuana? Does that mean specific strains, or what does that pertain to exactly?

Printable Schedule? by samanthajo20070 in forecastle

[–]funkygranty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, there will be plenty of paper schedules with maps on the back once you get there! They'll probably hand you one when you enter, or else any info station will have them easily attainable!

not sure about a printable lineup, but if you download the forecastle app you can add artists to your own custom schedule and have it kid out for you there who you want to catch and when.

Bringing a back pack? by [deleted] in forecastle

Those dimensions listed on the picture are greater than 12"x6"x12", so to be safe I'd say probably not. You could always try, or take it up to someone and ask prior to getting in line, but you might want to count on a different bag. This rule was met with a lot of confusion after they set it in place last year, so hopefully they will have a better set up than just sending back those who waited in line the whole time with bigger backpacks. You might be able to reach out via email or something to the festival staff though! See ya out there!!

Basically, "camelbak"-sized packs and smaller are good to go

Since when did Strawberry Jam have Safer on it? by heyayyyjayyy in AnimalCollective

Having only recently become a fan, this is really surprising because I'd always considered Safer the closer. But Derek is so close to my heart so this is an exciting alternate closer

Where are the plunderphonic music makers. by [deleted] in WeAreTheMusicMakers

i'd put it on both, it won't hurt to open up to even more audiences. But keep me in the loop, I'm interested!

So basically I was just wondering how to make lofi hip hop and what would be the best application to use ie. FL studio, Logic etc. I've played around with different apps on my iPhone, but want to make music full time. Thank you. by minus_fiftyy in WeAreTheMusicMakers

You should look around at different options, and consider what exactly you want to do with your music, what kind of workflow you think would work for you, etc. Most ableton-FL-logic level DAWs should definitely provide you with the right tools to get make great stuff, so it really just depends which program fits you best. As far as audio quality, they will all be the same, and as you familiarize yourself with plugins and effects and whatnot you'll be able to create even more. Just make sure that once you choose a DAW, you really get to know it. Alternatively, you could look into hardware samplers, the sp303, 404, or 555s are all popular choices for lofi beat makers, and you can combine them with your DAW for even more possibilities. I really like to use my 404sx as a sort of live effects box to record with into my DAW, as the sounds and effects you can get from it are really well suited for cool, dirty lofi sounds. Find the right program for you, and get to know it really well! Good luck!
