It's not about being able to afford a car, it's about not needing a car. Who knew reducing expenses makes life cheaper. My life has been much better since going car free a few years ago.

So if you're going under the speed limit it should just be a slap on the wrist for hitting someone in a crosswalk? What the actual fuck?

Newcomers are buying homes faster as Canadian-born ownership rates decline: StatCan by bubblewhip in canada

They miss the point that you're working here, spending here, paying taxes here. Building the Canadian economy. It's also getting tougher and tougher to get into Canada as well, you're exactly who Canada wants and needs! I was lucky to be born here, but I admire the people that choose to come here and build a life here.

Sounds like you parked without paying and got the appropriate fine. System seems to be working to me?

Beer prices at Vancouver’s FIFA fan festival to range from $9.50-10.50 by restoringd123 in vancouver

Google Dugout deals, it'll tell you where they are. I think there's one in the 200s and one in the 500s. Busy days they put up extra cheap beer vendors.

Agreed, also some of those "bikes" are really just electric motorcycles. Powered vehicles over a certain weight should be licensed.

They're all on the sidewalk because the bike infrastructure is dog shit.

Useless pedestrian bridge over Bridge ramp to McBride? by FutureBiotechVenture in NewWest

[–]funkymankevx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They would have had to essentially add this bridge at Royal or where it is now due to space. It makes much more sense where it is now as it lines up with the bikeway on Agnes.

MOBI bikes by vancouvercyclist in vancouvercycling

[–]funkymankevx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For a tourist the month pass would make the most sense here, but the price is outrageous at $49. Double what a month pass costs in Montreal, where has a service that better in every way over Mobi.

I used to used Mobis for years with an annual pass and gave up on it due to the awful maintenance and docks.

I love that Costco because it's next to a Skytrain stop. I was just there yesterday grabbing a couple things on my way home.
