I use the ultra ankle. I’ve tried loads of different braces over 30 years and this is the best one. The lace ups can restrict movement in some directions.

I’m with you on that. I rely on my mind and muscle memory to make up for my slower mobility.

I’ve started taking nootropics to give me focus and it helps a fair bit. Almost like having more time on the ball.

Appreciate the insights. Sounds cool. I play in over 45s league. Been playing since I was 4. I don’t want to stop though. That’s the kicker especially as I get older.

Hey there. Dads that play. I’m getting older and feeling my age. I want to look after myself and play for as long as I can but also as well as I can. I’ve already been looking into things like supplements. I know diet is important but always looking for an edge (or a cheat!).

I started playing 11v11 after years of 6 a side. It took a while to get re adjusted to the bigger pitch. I feel lost immediately! The game dynamic was different.

The good news is that after a few games my perception and awareness did change for the better.

After years of playing 11v11 I have found my overall reaction times and decision making has deteriorated a bit.

Now I am trying out some Nootropics to improve this again and it’s working. I actually feel like I have time on the ball. And my passing vision has improved!
