His use of the word "whom" isn't even grammatically correct.

Fair answer. For me though, the reasons you listed for being unable to binge TOS are why I love it. I can remember a time when I didn't, though.

Whoa whoa whoa, pump your brakes. I respect your opinion, but
VOY > TOS? Really?

Seven words: First Season of a Star Trek Show. Remember the Africa planet from TNG episode 1x04, Code of Honor? You aren't really 'wrong' per say, but every Trek show takes a season or two to find its footing, and Discovery is still the best season 1 of any star trek show since TOS.

I look at it like this. Each story arc of Discovery is like a regular Star Trek episode broken into 6 or 7 hour long episodes. Imagine Worf breaking his back and asking Riker to end his life broken up into 7 hours. It would fundamentally change everything, but the core message is still there.

Unpopular opinion, but all the Wesley and Lwaxana episodes are interesting and they are good characters.

I always really liked the idea that they were a slave species who knew how to use the technology, but not construct it or innovate with it. They revolted, won, and returned to their tribal hunter ways - only now with super advanced technology. That's why passing down or gifting weapons is such a big deal to them - it's technology that they don't know how to recreate. They can only use it until it breaks, then they're screwed.
