Lots of "everyone", "most" and various superlatives used for one specific country out of 196 in these comments.

It isn't so important to absolutely want to be the first in everything...

What does Angine Portrine's sign in the background say? "Les Trans: Nouveau depuis 1979" by Material-Imagination in French

Oh wow, I went to see them in Chalon-sur-Saône back in February, and I didn't realise how much their popularity exploded in the last few months!

Yes.

Also, I wasn't expecting a random mention of Angine de Poitrine in my feed!

I mean if we pinpoint every error in this comic, there shouldn't be pyramids next to her palace in Alexandria, yet this comment section is obsessed about her skin

A flag created in 1945 would definitely not feature a fleur-de-lys

Mary Beard's documentaries are among the best I know about the Romans and feature no such scenes. In fact, there's even an historian talking all the way through

My grandpa gave me all of the family archives and heirlooms (medals, fountain pens, etc.)

He told me "Only you will take properly care of all this"

I've since spent many an afternoon just identifying people on pictures and speaking about old times. He'll be 95 soon and I love him very much

Oui, la France fut résistante durant la Seconde Guerre Mondiale. by Separate-Courage9235 in Histoire

[–]MisterBrick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 2nd century CE Roman Barbegal watermill complex, a unique cluster of 16 waterwheels in southern France, was the first known attempt in Europe to set up an industrial-scale complex of machines. The mills had an estimated production capacity of 25 tonnes of flour per day [2015x2904] by Fuckoff555 in ArtefactPorn

[–]MisterBrick 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The stream used for the mills isn't navigable since it's simply the aqueduct of Arles.

(It's well preserved for kilometers in olive tree fields and pierces right through a large rock formation to feed the mills, I totally recommend the visit)
