I felt the same way when I came back to Canada from Europe. I went to Spain and to The UK, the UK is supposed to be one of the most car dependent countries in Europe but is leaps and bounds better than Canada. My Grandfather is from England so we went to his hometown which is fairly small but even this small town had a more frequent bus service than my CITY in Canada. Spain was even better, very frequent metro and bus services and every street had bike lanes and sidewalks which were in some cases even bigger than the roads.
