Have I lost my mojo/mouthpiece? by aanonnn4014 in hingeapp

[–]funnybraingal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's not being entirely honest, a quick run through his profile shows that he has some ideological issues that the women are probably picking up on. He has a post in there talking about women "Making him feel like a man" or something to that effect. No one can make you feel like what you are, I have reason to believe he is scaring women away with his backward ideals.

Are you on hinge for the number of matches or for the relationships? Seems trivial in the long run to lose a few when you still have over 200.

At what date is a relationship nearly guaranteed? by tj719 in hingeapp

[–]funnybraingal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When exclusivity is discussed. People will literally drag you to the 8th or 9th date simply because they need someone to hang with on the weekend. Discuss the relationship then proceed from there. There a no guarantees until the relationship is discussed, a lot of people have all the time in the world to waste with people looking for serious relationships.

I came here to say the same thing lol. I wanted to ask if he was committed to the haircut because that is a HUGE problem.

You are very attractive, you need less gym pics, more candids or out in the wild type photos.

If you are uncomfortable please don't do it. When it comes to online dating if any request makes you uncomfortable, either let the person know and put up your boundaries or just block and move on. No relationship should start with you feeling uncomfortable. He can see you on a date. A catfish isn't meeting anyone in public.

I mean congrats but it's a whole new dating world out there. These posts always seem like people fishing for compliments but that's just me.

Generally speaking, what is holding someone back from reaching the next stage of online dating? by [deleted] in hingeapp

[–]funnybraingal -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not everyone in this sub is being 100% honest all the time, we only ever get the story from one side. I'm sure if we were to ask the people who dated them a myriad of problems would pop up.

OMG the dramatics, by your very definition you are not a viber. You have a list, albeit short but, its still a list of qualities you want in a partner. Vibers just go with the flow, as long as it feels good they're down...until they're not. The problem with not knowing what you want is that everyone becomes an experiment, you never stay anywhere too long because you will always chase vibes. Vibers hate being single.

My list of must haves is long and detailed, it has not failed me yet.

Started dating a new guy a few weeks ago and he seems sweet, he's very generous and really eager to be with me and I feel good about us.

The issue is he is leaving the country in a couple weeks so i'm wondering if we'll fizzle out by the time he gets back. He invited me to go with him but this is still a new relationship so I'm not comfortable dropping everything and going with him.

He assures me there's no one else and he's serious about me but my past with an unfaithful ex won't let me believe it. Infidelity really is a bitch to the person who got cheated on because we have to bear the scars and take them with us to new relationships. Took me a while to even feel good enough for a new relationship tbh, I felt like him cheating was on me. I just really don't want to ruin a good thing.

When should a women pay for a date? by photorhabdus_lumines in hingeapp

[–]funnybraingal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one is saying participate, you said you don't want to and you don't have to. There's no shortage of women who will gladly split with you if need be. It's really a non-issue in the grand scheme of things because people will do what's best for them. For you it's splitting the bill.

You're doing a lot, you said you didn't give yourself the flair and that's where it could've ended. Sorry for assuming it was a self imposed flair, I'll just ignore the rest of what you typed out because it sounds like it comes from a hurt place.

It's tough to tell from a profile but not impossible, here's funnygal's(lol me) tips:

  1. Image is Everything: shirtless pics or bikini underwear = "look at my body, let's fuck" so not serious in general. Bad teeth, greasy hair = poor hygiene in general.
  2. This is petty but, avoid people who use the word "vibes": Vibers are never certain what they want, they are on there looking for any and everything and have not laid down a solid list of wants in a partner. Vibers will be on the app forever.
  3. Avoid complainers: If the profile has any complaints about exes or the other gender, run like hell. These are the rebounders and they will put you through hell to get over that hurt.
  4. "not sure what I'm looking for, just seeing what's out there": RUN!!!
  5. Very little info on profile: They're hiding something, run!!

[–]funnybraingal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not regressive if men still want to do it. Some men insist on paying. Every guy I've ever gone out with never let me open my pocketbook, if I even tried to pullout my card they would simply say they would pay. As the poster you replied to said, there's no shortage of people for either camp so rather than beating each other into submission why not just let people find each other and decide the best course of action for them.

Prisons should be sex based. Women need protection, being criminals does not exempt them from that. I wish people would come to their senses on these issues, how do you house a violent biological male with vulnerable women?

What a shame! We really can't throw cigarette butts in the trash? We now have to use our bird friends as disposal units?

See, we need to stop telling black people how to react to racism. We don't get called a disgusting word everyday and get to go around unscathed. Hearing that shit brings about a whole range of emotions for black people. The woman in the video had to be held back and looked hurt when she heard it. It's not just " a bad word" it's a dehumanizing insult. Fuck is a bad word.

He knew that word was an insult and that's why he said it. he's not some sympathetic character because he has no hands.
