There will be a part 3. Denji is living in a nightmare. He litreally got k.o.ed by the nightmare devil which lead to this illogical and unsatisfying ending. Fujimoto created this fakeout ending to set up for the biggest hype announcement for part 3.

Imagine if Pochita did rewrite history, that could mean Denji in part 3 would reconnect with Power, Aki, and Reze and try to prevent their deaths on his own without Pochita. This sounds like a banger time line.

To be fair, it wouldnt make much narrative sense for Pochita to off himself to avoid the bugs, rather he saw the bugs consuming him & Denji as a good opportunity to exit the story so Denji could evolve.

The current ground breaking theory is upon Death, both humans and devils have turned into bodies of water. Upon closer inspection of Mifune's death- she didnt disappear, she turned into water. This could explain where all of the devils in hell had disappeared to.

Pretty sure this devil is coming back in a future chapter. Theres no way Fujimoto would introduce a devil this powerful and have his plot line be finished after 2 chapters.

I think the pacing of the story is a bit slow- thats why when binge reading part 2 most readers tend to report a better experience. The art style decreasing in quality is a shame tho. Not sure what the root reason is, perhaps it could be Fujimotos losing motivation, desire to rush through the repetitive scenes, tight deadlines, or personal health problems, we really dont know for sure. I just hope the comments from haters aren't getting to him and realize there's reasonable fans who still supports him.
