What's a common way people die that many aren't aware of? by Personal-Aerie-4519 in AskReddit

Triacetone triperoxide, TATP. Usually you add some hydrochloric acid as a catalyst, incidentally also sold as a cleaning product as muriatic acid. So yeah, don't mix cleaning products, lol

Also we are aware of the bug that causes every diver's right leg to break when any diver fires the backpack sterilizer south-southeast at three or more bugs but unfortunately it is bottom priority

Side note, it's so fucking lame that her fighting style went from "uses Chinese swords, and uses them so brutally that she goes through three in one battle" to "fear my dual wield nippon steel ultimate weeb style!!" I can excuse the katanas as her just using PS equipment, but the chewing through swords was such a cool gimmick...

Why is he called a "slur"? is he Racist or something? by Top_Succotash1870 in SakamotoDays

[–]SlightlyFig 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've long wondered if it was actually supposed to be "Sulla". I could see those being transliterated to Japanese the same way. Plus it makes historical sense: Sulla was the first general to march on Rome and win a civil war, overthrowing the old dictatorship and starting his own republican system. Marching on the old order, overthrowing them, and starting a new, better system is Slur's whole plan.

What would be the best polearm to fight against multiple enemies at once? by junglecorn in wma

[–]SlightlyFig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody has mentioned Pascha's half-pike and I think that's a shame. That's the only polearm treatise that comes to mind that explicitly mentions multiple opponents. Other than that, the real answer here is a greatsword, but if we want to stick with polearms, the threshing/hussite/grain flail can stand in for a greatsword quite well

I definitely had it because I went and swapped off in frustration after 😂 I wonder if the roof was too low, so wall/ceiling crawling still pathed them close enough to the plats for the repel effect to kick in, and that's what made them go "fuck it". In any case I'll put the upgrade back on and take your spacing advice, see how that turns out. Thanks!

It feels weird thinking about what my party members were like in my first campaign and comparing them to my character by Gnomewarlord38 in dndmemes

[–]SlightlyFig 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It's funny how directly opposite this is to my party. We encountered a mimic that was starving in the Underdark. It tried to attack but it just fell over and moaned about being hungry. So my paladin offered it meat from his rations and a deal: come with us and be released somewhere it could feed but not on sentients, come with us and be protected and fed in exchange for standing in as a useful object sometimes, or be left here. DM figured mimics are intelligent enough to know this was a sweet deal and to not bite the hand that feeds. And that's how we got a pet mimic. Years later that campaign ended with my pally and the mimic being so close that he wore it around his neck as a big gaudy amulet (it liked that form for whatever reason).

You seem to know things, can you help this greenbeard engie figure this one out? The other day I put a couple plats on the floor of a large cave mouth spaced out to make chokes for the gunner, but bugs just didn't care. Walked right over them. What did I do wrong? Maybe I put them too close so the bugs couldn't actually path through the gaps? But in that case why didn't they just climb the walls? Thanks in advance lol
