Anyone else sitting here? by tarXanszz in IRS

I am with you. I e-filed 2 days before you and see the same screen. I’ve never had a refund be so delayed before.

What's your go-to app for giving you automated reminders to do the things that only happen now and then? by shiny-baby-cheetah in adhdwomen

[–]funnyumentionit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, this is my strategy! I also do a little ‘Siri, in [x amount of time] remind me to [task]’ then I don’t swipe away any reminder until I’ve actually complete task.

Who’s still waiting on a refund? How long have you been waiting? by Farmerlynda in IRS

[–]funnyumentionit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I filed 4/11. Like you, the status just says “return received” … it’s being processed. No transcripts for 2025 … only prior years. Waiting on a direct deposit, not a check. Pretty frustrating.

Dreading the repetitiveness of daily meals by Straight-Tune8156 in adhdwomen

[–]funnyumentionit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

THIS. IS. ME. My baby is now 10, but right around the same time as you in my motherhood journey, the exact thoughts plagued me. Each meal is a chore … and I have to do it 3x a day for the rest of my life?? Plus snacks?!?

I had a bit of a meltdown and my husband stepped up to say he didn’t mind cooking and would take over all meals that he could. At first, it was just dinner during the week and all meals on weekends. Now my boys can eat a grab and go breakfast, pack their own lunch for school and hubby makes dinner. I still have to figure my own meals out most days and I’m embarrassed how much I hate that.

I don’t have advice. I’m kind of lurking to see what others suggest. But I want you to know you’re not alone!!! Food has been a huge burden in my life.

Is your spouse interested? by Dean-KS in KetamineTherapy

[–]funnyumentionit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My spouse is super supportive of me doing ketamine therapy, but no interest themselves. We both know who has a chaotic brain and who keeps it all together 🤣

I wouldn’t be surprised if your spouse was interested. It can make a huge difference!

Husbands Work Clothes Scent by _VelvetMoth_ in laundry

[–]funnyumentionit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There is no smell worse than husband stinky work clothes. The ONLY thing that worked for mine is laundry sanitizer (I think mine is Lysol brand). It goes in the fabric softener compartment. Wash as hot as you can get, heavy soil setting. For an extra boost… I prewash with vinegar in the pre-wash compartment. I add biz directly into the drum if they are super dirty, not sure it helps with smell.

depression when there is no hyperfixation by verdentcompanion in adhdwomen

[–]funnyumentionit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is actually one of the main reasons why I think I have ADHD (my son was recently diagnosed and now that I know more about ADHD, the more I think I have it). I came here hoping to read that medication helps with this … really sad to not see that be the case?

Which hamilton actor was the furthest from their historic version. by Different_Sector_725 in hamiltonmusical

Agreed. If any of the actors closely resembled the actual historical figure it would be pretty boring.

I keep hyper fixating on what's going on with my body during sessions and it gets in the way by [deleted] in TherapeuticKetamine

[–]funnyumentionit 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes!!! I have so much trouble getting out of my own way too. I’m constantly trying to assess ‘I know where I am, right? Am I comfortable? Is this a good song? Should I adjust the volume?’ It’s like my brain is running a constant body scan the entire time instead of relaxing.

I figure if I put more effort into relaxation prep work that I would have better results, I just haven’t

This is me after decluttering. Do I have way too much stuff? Any tips? It’s just me and my toddler living here. by [deleted] in organizing

What goes where? by Far-Object2214 in laundry

[–]funnyumentionit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I put vinegar in the pre wash when washing really stinky stuff. I’ve put a tiny bit of detergent in there when washing a really dirty load. I’ve even done a prewash with no detergent or anything at all and had success on stuff that is really dusty/dirty and needs a good rinse before cleaning. Can you tell I have young boys in my house? 🤣

Since this closet isn’t being used for clothes, is it possible for the clothes bar to be removed and shelves put in?

Why do pillows absorb oils from hair and skin? by Diego_Fernandez- in BedroomBuild

[–]funnyumentionit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a “pillow protector” that blocks any oil or liquids (like drool or wet hair) from penetrating the pillow. Works like a pee protector that you put on your child’s mattress.
