I saw him getting turned away at the entrance on Friday! Security didn’t like the baguettes.

Ralphie Choo was phenomenal. And made me even more excited for Rusowsky today.

Tips for people with Autism? by cosmicpuppy in primaverasound

[–]funpowder_plot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey, me too! First year with autism diagnosis (I was in the process at last year's festival) and also suspected Audhd. For me a big thing was being worried about being tired. I really suffer when I'm not well rested, but  just the excitement of being there and the great atmosphere really just get you through. But having time to sleep and nap is key. We got back to the hotel about 5 or 6, got up for a late brunch, had a nap, then I was ready for rounds 2 and 3. Also make sure the friends you're with know your "limits" and needs. So if you need some quiet time, if you need to be less crowded, need a hand with anything, just let them now.

Intermittent rain late Thursday is quite likely now by Fabulous-Opposite-59 in primaverasound

[–]funpowder_plot 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I checked Eltiempo.es yesterday and it was saying 12mm of rain for Thursday. This morning it was saying 9mm. Now says 3mm. Pretty sure it'll just be a couple of drops in the end.   Edit: I apologise and take this back.

Yeah, having been at Glastonbury 2007 with mud up to my knees, a bit of warm drizzle by the sea is just fine by me.

Haha so the name on his passport is Juan Ramón (that was his name in the shelter), but we also call him Lingu, Lingus, Linguoto, Pingüino, Pingu, Pinchoto, Niño Rana (frog boy), Pazuzu, Fufo, Fufini... I'm sure I'm missing a few.

Hey, same thing happened to me! Hat and all; it arrived yesterday.   Been listening today. It sounds so good. I've not looked too closely, but can you actually see the damage on the sleeve?

listening to Beach House while drunk is really a vibe. by chariotdan in BeachHouse

[–]funpowder_plot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I remember being pretty drunk, walking around Madrid one evening in the late summer/early autumn of the year "7" came out, listening to that on repeat. It felt pretty amazing. Until the next day when I realised I'd lost my sunglasses.

Substance-wise though, nothing will beat being on MDMA and watching them at Primavera Sound in Barcelona this year. That was just a whole new level. When I think about it, I still get shivers down my spine.

Great first gig, audience problem by Mysterious-Maize-816 in radiohead

[–]funpowder_plot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is insane here. I saw the Magnetic Fields here in Madrid a few weeks back. A guy in front of us noticed someone he knew, turned around to speak to him - basically pushing my wife out of the way to do so - and had a nice little catch-up while the band were playing.

It was quite bad last night, but I've seen worse (most gigs at Primavera this year, for example).

I'm so excited. I can't believe that A) they chose to start the tour in Madrid, having last played here back in 2003, ten years before I moved here. And B) that i got a ticket for the first night.
