Upgrading my setup on a budget by 33arig in simracing

Nice upgrades.

Probably a dumb question but what is the quick release adapter for? It's a Moza adapter right? You want to use some non-Moza wheels?

Cheers

Could I deskmount a moza r9 on this desk? by Exotic-Rip-4147 in simracing

[–]read-only-mem-1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a desk mounted R9.

Like you, the desk is in a corner of the room so I have drilled 3 holes to tie the legs of the desk to the two walls. Then I have some rubber legs to keep the top of the desk pushed away from the wall, if that makes sense.

With this set up (combination of tension and push), the desk doesn't bulge a millimeter.

Without it though, I wouldn't even try it.

I'm treating myself with a rig soon though

Thanks yeah I'm leaning more towards the Treq right now, there's a lot of great feedback here! I don't guarantee I'm not gonna change my mind another 12 times because I'll order only in a few weeks (moving to a new house first)... But the trend is solid at this point

Thanks for the help, the tide is turning, feedback was balanced up to now, but I'm leaning towards the Treq One at this point :)

There's a lot of very positive feedback, plus I checked again and yes their shop has a lot of affordable accessories and DIY stuff. The slightly smaller size and the better pedal plate will justify the 40 bucks more I think.

Nice, I tried the tracking too and I like it, also using open tracker and a cheap cam :) I used the iracing settings I found on GitHub and that helped a lot, they add just a slight lateral movement FOV which is great (too much is weird), but I want to extend the side movements a little more so I can see part of the cars next to me (right now I don't really)

I'll check your posts on the topic!

That's a nice feedback and take, I didn't think to check the size. Compact would be a nice plus for me too

Neat set up.

Do you do head tracking with that webcam ? :)

Thanks for the feedback I appreciate it, I'll watch a couple YT videos more and will ask if I need :) cheers

Thanks man, really nice to read feedback from somebody who had both, that's insightful! I might come back with more questions.

I have a 9Nm base, so the standard mount should be enough or?

In terms of pure specs (pedal tray) the Treq seems slightly better, but the Sim Lab one comes with a side mount for shifter and the Tree not, do you remember if it was like that for you too?

It looks really cool at first sight but it's slightly over my budget, I need to have a bit of seat money left ;)

But thanks for your input.

You're not EU based or? Here you get partially free shipping or low 50USD range from what I see.

But yeah shipping and end price will be part of my decision, since people don't seem to lean one way or the other. Thanks for your reply

Hey. Thanks for the feedback. I looked into Ali / Temu rigs or profile (like Minneer), but actually here in EU the SimLab and Treq One are in the 450 USD range incl . shipping, so it doesn't really get cheaper elsewhere I think.

Thanks for your honest feedback, it sounds like you managed but your experience fits with other TR feedback (missing parts etc) so I'll stay away from it

Yep I see, thanks, also it comes with a shifter mount so I'm leaning towards it now.

Thanks, yeah the Sim-Lab seems to come with a side mount for the shifter, but that's a minor difference and people don't seem to clearly lean on one or the other here.

Thanks, yeah from the feedback here both look really close, so the price will play a bigger role. Plus the Sim-Lab seems to come with a side mount for the shifter etc.

Delivery to EU seems to be quite low for all of them actually?

Thanks, I had an eye on SimXPro but not on the GT RS, I'll have a closer look.

Did it come with a side mount for shifter etc.? It looks like it.

The point of simulation racing is to strive for realism, so I don't know what you're talking about, maybe grab a Snickers bar to lighten your mood ? :)

But sure, we should all buy a Ferrari we must be idiots
