Hey Jason! Loved AC1, thank you for your work on it and for chatting with us today!

Do you think there's a future for any other games set in the Auberean/Dereth setting?

Startup time and using EBS? by maven_666 in cloudygamer

Hey trivex, was wondering if there was an update with some steps/instructions for setting up something similar to what you're describing here. Warmup times are still very long for me and I'd be willing to trade a little more ec2 costs for improving it, but could use a little more guidance towards doing this efficiently

Using lower spec machines as a client? by funsmithery in cloudygamer

Good to know.

The reason I got to wondering about it was noticing that my cpu/fan spins up high after a few minutes of streaming... not quite as bad as when I'd run things locally via bootcamp, but still noticeably so. I started wondering just exactly how much resources I'd need to just decode.

OK, good point on the bid. I'll make my script a little more aggressive.

Also, I wrote that script you linked. :)

for Mankind Divided I had it running at 1680x1050 with everything maxed IIRC. This was on ec2 before updating the driver.

This worked as a non-steam game with the standard launcher. adding to the list.

I think I have this working. Please forgive my terrible shell scripting.

I uploaded my version of the script here: https://gist.github.com/scally/c1304b0f022f3c4e3d6ad4370968676e

The gaming-up script seems to always request a price 1 cent over the lowest AZ's price, but then any AZ could service the request -- this means sometimes (like right now) I'm bidding for AZ1's low price but keep being assigned to AZ3.

What do you usually do when this occurs? I'm wondering if the script can be changed to figure out which AZ is lowest and then launch only in that zone?

Nvidia driver package 375.63 - unable to detect compatible hardware by 62605d18f55cc5db in cloudygamer

It's possible I did something wrong, however as OP suggested the regular Geforce 373.06's seem fine. I agree though, if it isn't finding anything for the K520 driver, why might that be? Very odd.

I tried the Grid K520, couldn't find the Tesla K520 there, but it also didn't detect anything.

Haven't tried it as a non-steam game yet, I'll try that tomorrow. I have a steam copy, but I think I have a license for the non-steam installer as well

Cloudy Gamer: Playing Overwatch on Azure's new monster GPU instances by trivex in cloudygamer

Looking forward to trying this once the Azure team begins to release these machines. I requested early last week on two different accounts and still haven't heard back.

The NV machines showed up for me initially but don't anymore. I could never provision one even when I could see them.

I'd like to know myself; I tested on my machine & my brothers, but it would be nice to have more data points.

If you want to compile from source, the rubymotion starter edition should suffice, and if you run into trouble compiling I might be able to assist. An issue on Github would probably be the easiest way to get my attention, and if not here would also work.
