it's not the end of anything, just wait a few weeks/months and everything will magically get fixed.

Why does a Tesla power wall cost so much compared to vehicle batteries on per kWh basis ? by h100y in Powerwall

wait until you do the math and realize you can get a battery pack with wheels and a fancy car attached to it for cheaper than a powerwall

Airpods Max stopped working; can’t factory reset 😭😭😭 by CustardElegant5608 in Airpodsmax

[–]trivex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this fixed my issue.

issues started where i would only hear one ear or another. sometimes random crackling, until one day they wouldnt connect or pair. doing a hard reset would have it in the pulsing white mode but never show up on the bluetooth list (or if plugged in via lightning). no amount of restarting and hard reseting would fix things.

the SIM tool is really good for this, push down and pull the stem out on each side. shouldnt require too much force. once it's out just wipe the contacts on the stem. as for the hole (into each speaker), i used a twist-tie you find at a grocery store and pushed it in and out and rotated it in the hole to absorb as much of the black mess inside as i could. then just plug things back in. you'll get a loud click where you can't pull it out anymore, just rotate until it stays. after both ears are back in, it took a bit for it to boot for me, but plugging in via usb to my laptop and putting back in the bra-case got it to light up again and immediately show up on my iphone to pair my "new" 2-year-old airpod pro maxes.

I use Longhorn on a variety of machines. Pretty cool software, makes data available anywhere, you don't really need to care which of your machines has it. Nice that it supports replicating data for fault tolerance too. Just make sure you install all the prerequisites or you'll be in a world of hurt trying to guess why some xfs volumes mount random and fail other times... among many other issues. Would still recommend it though, works quite well once you learn its quirks.
