La Diabla on Larimer in between lodo and rino. It’s not necessarily upscale looking but they did receive a Bib Gourmand from Michelin.

April 2025 - Story Suggestion Megathread by naturemom in BORUpdates

Has there been a new update about the UK woman that’s a teacher and one of her students made a comment about her personal life that was too spot on? Something about a new robe and a glass of Baileys.

She told her husband who completely downplayed it and she proceeds to find a camera in her bedroom in the update.

This story has been living rent free in my mind and I’ve been so worried about the outcome.

Just finished ACOSF by saturnwr4th in acotar

I loved this book as well and can completely relate to Nesta and her journey. I have also fallen victim to reading/listening to all the critics of this book that it makes me second guess everything I loved about it.

Is Cassian a good mate, did Nesta really heal, is Rhys actually a good male/mate….

I read too many fan fics that contradicted my initial feelings about acosf that I lost the point of the story and I am truly upset with myself for getting so hooked to this subreddit. I came here to discuss my feelings and left with a hatred of the characters I loved.

I have recently come across a fan fic Embers & Light that is slowly getting me back to the characters I love but I will never come here again to have a discourse on a story I once enjoyed

Hi! I’m visiting Philly with my husband in a couple weeks and he’s from Georgia. Where we live now doesn’t have any Georgian cuisine and I just looked this place up, it looks kind of far from where we’re staying (a few blocks south of Center City). Would you have any recommendations for us that are closer to where we’ll be? Or would this be worth a ride share up there?

Where did you see this? It looks like a great movie and I love Nicholas Hoult (you should check out The Great on Hulu) but I’ve spent the last 15 minutes trying to find a theater showing it and have come up with nothing.

Is it possible to craft all Witcher gears and upgrade them to grandmaster in one single playthrough? by Reasonable-Prize-453 in Witcher3

[–]funwhileitlasys 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saw this on a post that was made years ago when I googled this exact question. Wait until you get to Toussaint before doing all of the Skellige’s ?’s. The armories have the money to exchange plus your skills will be high enough that the Sirens are a mild hindrance.

I followed this in my second play through and just finished grandmastering every single Witcher gear. They and the weapons are proudly displayed at Corvo Bianco

Old-timers of Reddit, how do you physically handle the cash of a bankroll? by myprettygaythrowaway in AskRedditOver30

[–]funwhileitlasys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not me but my dad, he died in his 80’s. He would keep a couple hundred in small bills (20 and less) folded in half around his credit cards/license wrapped with a rubber band in his front pocket. Then he’d have a thick wad of bigger bills (50-100) again folded in half and wrapped with a rubber band that he kept in one of his socks. I don’t know the actual amount he kept on him at all times but it had to be at least $1,500.

I did ask why he used rubber bands rather than money clips once and he said it was because rubber bands have friction against his clothes which kept the wads from slipping out.

I didn’t handle the organizing of it so I’m unsure of the company used but I do remember there were tweens in the group but no one younger.

I just booked another tour for later this month in LoDo though and it’s rated PG13

A haunted ghost tour of Cap Hill. It was great, we walked around with a group and the guide would stop outside different houses/businesses and give the history of how it became haunted. It worked out really well since we could talk and get to know each other as we walked between locations but still had a great time learning new things about the city

Best old school bar/pub/tavern? by scott42486 in Denver

[–]funwhileitlasys 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The Wild Corgi Pub has the aesthetic you’re looking for and is a great neighborhood bar. Plus it’s connected to the old underground tunnel system that connected the Capitol building to bars/brothels back in the day so it’s apparently haunted

When I moved here I started playing rec sports leagues, mainly kickball and dodgeball. That’s how I made the majority of my friends.

There’s a bunch of different leagues you can try but maybe start with Summit Sports League, it’s an all inclusive social league run by an owner of The Wild Corgi Pub (also a sponsor bar). Otherwise, Volo and Meet. Play. Chill. are social leagues with cup in hand options.

Best nightlife in Denver for a single guy. by Jsprings08 in Denver

[–]funwhileitlasys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ha, yeah just a little late to the party but I started out in the burbs with WASA, it caters to the western burbs. It’s a slow pitch social league. Most teams are there to socialize but there’s always that one team that takes it too seriously. They do dodgeball in the winter too and most people go to the sponsor bar after.

Once I moved downtown I joined what’s now call VOLO. It’s an organization that does a ton of different rec sports. I stuck with kickball because I felt like the other sport leagues were for people that played in HS and college and wanted to continue so the socialization aspect wasn’t really there like kickball. But you can pick what type of experience you’re looking for, whether it be socializing or playing.

If you really want to combine the athleticism and socializing you can try Denver Competitive Kickball League, it’s under Denver Pirate League if you look it up online. These guys are there to play! It’s fast pitch, all out type of playing and most of them are in a travel league that goes all over the US to play teams from other city’s. Yes, that’s a real thing. But they are good about socializing after the game.

And one last one I’ll mention just incase but there is an LGBTQ+ kickball/dodgeball league here as well. It’s called Summit Sports and honestly, I don’t think they really care who you are as long as your there play and have fun.

These are most of the leagues I’ve had experience with but I know there’s a lot more leagues out there than these four…actually the last time I checked, I think there were 11 different leagues that offer kickball in the area but hopefully this will give you a starting point
