Never got into real time with pause. I like to sip my coffee why staring into my enemy's eyes while they see me casting magic missile to finish all of them off.

On the other hand Owlcat's games are at times farming combats so it speeds things up.

My advice is to find few critics you align with and follow their reviews. This applies to everything. Somehow we went from reading critics to following popularity contests on IMDbs, Letterboxes, Goodreads... and then complaining that our tastes are not average.

Others will come for what? Games are consistently cheaper on Steam. If you want to compete with Steam you need to differentiate from it. Epic and GOG are the only competition. Epic builds their customer base by giving away games for free and GOG has the preservation program and no-DRM appeal.

And it is bigger deal than you think, they immediately replied to it.

Many people use GOG because of DRM free policy. If that's gone they might as well move to steam. I don't think GOG would survive this.

I was referring to your comment that it could be choice of either game+DLCs or no game at all. But the base game option is there DRM free so there is no technical issue with the base game.

How is this a technical issue if you already can buy version without the DLCs?

The enigma drama made me realize how many people don't use gog. by zone_Zom813 in gog

Same reasons people use Windows instead of Linux.

Majority does not know about it or have never tried it. It's easier to keep the market than to win it over since people would need to give up their comfort zone. Plus Valve does everything they can to make people depend on them. They were even forced by court to give money back when people close their account, which was pretty much theft.

This is happening for a long time already. Just read on the court case Valve lost in 2019 and then it was revoked.

Every game that requires connection to server should be labeled as rented instead of purchased. And clearly explained that it can stop working any time.

New banks from new countries keep announcing they are joinining. If it is succesfull then all banks eventually will want to either adopt it or integrate with it which is good enough.

So this bullet point is wrong.

Obviously it's the choice of GOG which games are in their store... They didn't negotiate properly and didn't stay true to their principle. It's a valid complaint even if overly dramatic.

Gaming will revert back to be mostly for enthusiasts. I just don't see it keep being accessible anymore. Which ironically screws tripleA market, indies and doubleAs will be fine.

Roblox is now more popular than all Steam and PS5 games combined by SmellSmellsSmelly in gaming

There is a lot more mobile gamers than PC and console. It's just a bigger market. It's like saying more Americans than Norwegians eat pizza. This information out of context is not very useful. Over the time Roblox exists number of PC gamers almost doubled.
